I see him as a riser. I think top 25 picks when all is said and done.

Are you implying that crabtree actually pulls any sort of double coverage?Originally posted by hofer36:Originally posted by 49ersalldaway126:Originally posted by mike:Slightly better? Bryant has to share the receptions with robinson and Austin. Crabtree had 12 more receptions for fewer yards and fewer TDs as the #1 wr target in our offense. Bryant would be a clear-cut #1 in a lot of offenses and is a threat in the redzone, Crabtree would not and is not.
imo crabtree can be a very productive WR
unfortunatly he went through offseason surgury every year in offseason and has not attended more than 2-3 offseason workouts while not playing 1 snap in preseason
and having a new system every year in no way helps at all continuity and offseason programs will help a lot
get a receiver who is a real threat opposite crabtree and crabtree will play alot better

He was double-covered virtually all season. Bracket covered a lot, actually.

Count me off this list. He looks like a Cover-2 corner only. Simply does not have the speed to track with the faster WR's in our defense. He looked sluggish compared to guys like Jenkins, Boykin, at the Senior Bowl.

I tend to disagree. He's a physical corner that is a solid tackler (49ers type of CB), while Rainey made him look bad during the Senior Bowl, Rainey made every CB look bad. I'll admit Hayward isn't a burner, but he is always in good position. All he seems to do is get INTs (paraphrasing "all Cris Carter does is catch TDs"). 13 INTs the last 2 years, over 20+ Pass Defended the last 2. Even had an INT in the Senior Bowl. I'd take the kid in a heartbeat.

He's a stiffy in the hips. I just don't see the ability to flip quickly. He's just not smooth in that regard. I grade him as a 4th rounder at best, and I think the transition is going to be rough for him.

His name may be called by the 9ers if available late in the draft
