Franchise QB injured would be my starter for 10.
I know that dude, but damn, they have other talented players than Manning.

It is 100% clear at this point that Manning has been absolutely carrying a sorry @ss team for a long time now.
Name one talented Colt.
Wayne is ok but he's not a burner nor is he a big target. Dallas Clark was only successful because he was Manning's TE. He disappears for entire games with Manning out. The inept o-line was masked by Peyton's quick release and fast decision making. Jeff Saturday is ancient and undersized. Peyton is one of the greatest players in NFL history. They were 3-13 before he arrived and 0-11 once he got hurt... winners every year he played after his 1st season.

Freeny, Mathis, Wayne is a better receiver than half of the leagues #1 on a team, garcon. Payton is great but coming, this is an NFL roster not a college football team.

Maybe the niners can trade with the winner of the suck for luck contest. I was secretly hoping for palmer until the raiders pulled the trigger. Now, I am on the trade w/suck for luck winner.

This. I've said that before and got ridiculed.
He keeps getting offensive players high in the draft. You have freakin Peyton Manning. He's proven to make everyone better. Colts hardly run the ball yet they draft RB's in the first. E. James, although he was really good for them and they actually used him but I don't understand the picks of Addai and Brown so high. Manning has made Wayne, Clark, Collie, Garcon, etc etc.
Polian never emphasized defense enough and for that, they only got 1 SB. The year the Colts won the SB, the defense played lights out in the playoffs. If they didn't, Manning may be at 0 SB's.

This post is so stinkin ridiculous it's not funny.
Freeney, Mathis, Glenn, Harrison, Saturday, Addai, Clark, Sanders, Wayne all contributed to that SB season.
One player is not the difference between a SB contender and the worst record in the league. The team simply cashed it in soon as the found out they were going to be relying on Painter and then Collins and then Painter again.
Make no mistake. That team gets decent QB play next year and they will be in the playoffs again like normal.

And no matter how much talent you have, when you have Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky starting you are dead.
But they have talent. Addai is a good back. Garcon is a really good WR, Wayne still has it. Mathis and Freeney are great pass rushers, though Mathis might bolt since he is a FA after 2011.
Clark is still a good TE, they drafted good, Delone Carter will be a nice 3rd down back, Drake Nevis was a good pick inside at NT, and Castanzo will be a good Tackle, a tackle Tony Ugoh wasn't.
They need help in the secondary, Sanders isnt there, and when he was he was injury prone. Lacey is a nice CB, but is a RFA, so depending on cap situation that will matter how bad they can keep him.
28M due to Peyton on march 5th 2012(I believe its the 5th or whenever the new league year begins), and they need to make a decision, they probably wont have a ton of room under the cap so they may need to either decline or see is Peyton will defer some till the end of his deal.
I dont see Indy trading the pick, They likely take Luck, It wont cost much to sign him with new salary scale.

Ya its pretty ignorant to say they don't have anyone who's talented when they went to the Superbowl a few years back. With most of their core players. I just think they lost all motivation when peyton was declared done for the year. They pulled a Lee corso ... "awww f**k it" lol
