I don't understand all the negativity surrounding Kap

I guess some are just upset we took a project, not knowing who we'd have in the meantime. CK is a long-term project and was one of the lesser-NFL ready QBs. Tremendous upside, but a lengthy adjustment time needed. Kaepernick made great improvements every year at Nevada, so he's very coachable, and I'm sure he'll learn if given time. However.. some question the pick because of the time he would take to develop.
The Devil's advocate will say, "If he was going to take so long, why not just draft an NFL ready QB next year and use the pick on another position of need instead?" -- A valid question. I wanted us to trade down and move up with the extra pick acquired to get Dalton.

75 yards, 46.7% for a 88.7 rating for Ryan Lindley against Michigan.
not having a good year so far. And has not looked all that accurate.

The only real team they played so far was ND and they gave up 513 yards.

my bad, question was rhetorical, I have no respect whatsoever for UM's pass D

Don't get me wrong, obviously he's a very talented QB and very intriguing NFL prospect but I want to see him vs OU, OkSt, Texas, and TAMU. Baylor isn't better than any of those 4 teams, but he's talented enough that he can carry his team to wins against these teams and it'd be great to see him do it
