It's a mock. So you start your first mocks with where teams were at this year. There is a lockout and nobody is playing football right now. And maybe not this year at all or at least some time. So all you can go with to begin with is where teams were at the last time you left off.

Exactly, thanks for posting this. It's either use the last draft order, or try to predict where teams end up which will only lead to more bickering about the order and will take away from the mock itself.

No sir :)

So how will the draft order go if there is no season? The same as this year or will there be a lottery? I can't figure this question out.

common sesne would dictate same as last year

but i highly doubt we woulnt have an nfl season

In a world of common sense you might be right. But, since there are owners and players willing to fight over millions of dollars that won't be made anyways unless they play. I would say we are not talking common sense. So I still stand for anyone who has real info about what draft order we would go by next year. I would appreciate it.

Here's a nice 2012 Mock Draft: Link

Walterfootball.com has a pretty good one too: Link

Clearly people expect us to take a CB, but if Marcus Forston has a good year, I really hope hes the pick. Vince Wilfork 2.0.

I doubt it's decided, but when the NHL lost a season to lock out in 04/05 they held a lottery where teams got between 1-3 balls based on number of playoff appearances the previous 3 years. The draft then went in a snake format following the first round, so 30th picked 31st as well like most fantasy football drafts. I suspect the NFL would do something similar. By this standard we would probably have a pretty good shot at #1 overall, really only competing with the Lions and a couple other brutal teams.

Coincidentally, that 2005 NHL lottery was especially important as the top prize was Sidney Crosby - the best player of this generation and probably the NHL's biggest star, so if this were to happen Andrew Luck would be a pretty comparable reward.

it'd likely be between the 49ers,Raiders,Lions, Bills,Browns and Rams 4 of those teams already have QBs more like 3 if the Bills aren't happy with Fitzpatrick.

I also think if the Panthers get the first pick again they'll likely trade it for a king's ransom.

I got a hunch Barkley won't come out this year, I think he wants to go to a bowl game before going pro.

Cliff Harris draft stock took a hit with his recent legal troubles.

The top 50 players or whatever is going to change before even the first college game is going to be played
to ealy for any of this. we"re not even sure if we"re gonna have a season.

I'm thinkin Kellen Moore QB from Boise St would be a nice addition to the team. If we could grab him with a 3rd or 4th round pick I would be ok with that.

With the 1st pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Andrew Luck, Quarterback, Stanford.

So put us in the same position as Carolina is this year? Not saying that Cam Newton can hold Andrew Luck's jockstrap or anything like that......but by drafting Luck, it would put Kaep in the same position as Clausen.....and our organization fighting over who to start......
