NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
-Brian Schottenheimer & Norv Turner didn't try to change Philip Rivers' motion; Harbaugh had publicly stated on the post-draft interview that he has no plans/intentions to do so with Kaep.

Yea it is a weird motion. but it is what it is. changing his motion might eventually mess up his accuracy. He's just gonna have to get the ball out as fast as possible.

This. Check the Sports Science video. While his release may look odd or appear throw, the time between his lock on and throw is really short.

No, it's natural for him. See Phillip Rivers.

Exactly. His throwing motion may not be "ideal", but even Harbaugh concededs that it's not so much the style as it is what the ball does when it's released, how fast the QB processes what he sees and how fast the resultant throw gets to it's mark, etc. According to that video and Kap's results in actual games, he seems to get it out quickly enough, with great accuracy and power. Do you really want to mess too much with that? I think not. Refine it, sure. Improve it, if you can, yeah, as long as you aren't trying to fix what ain't broke. Many Webzoners seem to have a much bigger problem with this than our coaches. I think more attention should be given to the mental part of the pro game than fiddling with his delivery. He'll have plenty to process as it is.

no, as coach said in CK's presser (paraphrasing) "how you throw is how you throw. what matters most is what happens after the ball leaves your hand"

Yeah, Harbaugh said he didn't see any problems with it and "the way you throw is the way you throw."
He won't try to change it.

NO.
And he said he won't. Harbaugh said it's not important how you throw. It's important if the ball gets there or not. That's all.
More guys have been ruined by changes to the throwing motion than helped. More careers have been destroyed that way.
Rivers has a funny throwing motion. But the ball gets there. And he's one of the best QB's in the league.
