This draft = WINNING not reaching

For the haters who think we've failed at every pick... jump in a failboat.

Right now our draft is mimicking a Bill Parcells draft, and no surprise since Baalke is a pupil with Parcells.

Rd1: as explained multiple times we didn't want this pick and got stuck with it, that being said we picked the #2 rated OLB by allot of scouts and even the big Tuna himself... who drafted Ware, Canty, Ratliff and Spears in one draft. He knows his DL/Rush linebackers.

Rd2: Kaepernick. Regardless of your view of boom or bust potential, this is Jim's guy and what every team that was in the bidding for JH when the coaching carousel began was hoping for... a QB coach with a track record of success to select his own QB. We got both, lets be happy and move on. Obviously Stanzi wasn't that impressive if he is still on the board, but allot of fans would be singing a different toon had we waited and just landed him, which in hindsight would now be a reach.

Rd3: Again not sexy to the draftniks, but Parcells and other services had this guy going in round 3. How is that a reach? Oh because Mayock made one 5 second comment after he was drafted only because he didn't fit into Mayock's big board.

Rd4: Kendall Hunter... Depending on who you listen to he was considered the top if not one of the top change of pace backs, perfect fit. Some believe second round value that we got in the 4th. But haters gonna hate...

Doesn't anyone get that when draftniks get showed up by teams, they are egomaniacs and of course will talk smack??? It's their job to set up a fictitious board (based off the same internet research we do) and then discuss reaches and value picks for television entertainment. They never concede they are wrong, only point to those picks which they got right in the past.

Great post! Kaepernick is the best QB in this draft....

Aldon Smith can be a 12 sack a year guy and Chris Culliver is a good fit a nickel back.

I hope you are right. We will find out when football starts back up in 2012.

That will be the 1st year for this years rookies and next years rookies.

If Mike Mayock was that damn good at evaluating talent, we would be working for a team instead of NFLN.

So far about 10 guys rated in the 6th round range on the NFL.com big board (Mayock) have been drafted.

We've adressed most of our needs. We got our pass rush, future qb, and help in the secondary. Everything seems good to me

My point exactly.
All of our picks can be considered "reaches", you know what I love about that? It says that from the very get go Baalke and Harbaugh were targeting these guys. That to me means more than what any so called "draftniks" or arm chair gm's think.

This is a very poor year to be a rookie due to the lack of a CBA. If there aren't going to be mini-camps or a training-camp then there aren't going to be as many immediate impact rookies as there are during a normal year. So why not take developmental guys with a higher upside?

Can't wait to see what other "reaches" we make today!

I'd like to get Salas that WR from Hawaii
Why is everyone so upset? Every year we b***h cause they never address the olb pass rush. Then when they take the second rated rusher in the draft with the highest ceiling the zone goes bonkers. The QB we will have to see I love what he brings to the table a playmaker at the qb just what we have been missing. Culiver db? maybe but the second rated free safety on the board. Do we need a better free safety? Hell yes!! I for one am very optimistic with the start of this draft. RELAX ZONERS!!!

How dare you make sense on the NT zone. Don't you know that all is lost because we didn't get Peterson?
