Aaron Williams
Ras-I Dowling
Paea

Personally I'd like to see either Ras-I Dowling or Dalton/Stanzi. My personal preference would be Stanzi, but if they think they can wait on him now that the rush is pretty much over on QB's and steal Dowling first, I'm all for it. I just hate to gamble too much, get too greedy, and lose out on the QB that Harbaugh wants. There is enough depth at CB this year, that I think they should take the QB this round and there will likely be a good CB waiting for them in Round 3. (Davon House, Aaron Williams, Chimde Chekwa, Ras-I Dowling are all still on the board at this point).

I also would not be shocked to see them go after another pass rusher, though maybe not in round 2. But if a guy like Brooks Reed, or even better, Justin Houston, were to still be available in Round 3, I could see them going that way again.

In the later rounds with all of those extra picks, I could see going for a NT like Fua/Powe, a WR like Kris Durham/Ricardo Lockette/Greg Little, and another CB like Chris Culliver/Byron Maxwell, a RB like Taiwan Jones, and finally another QB like Adam Froman or Greg McElroy.
I have this feeling that Harbaugh is not all that interested in any of the QBs this year. Sure, he may pick one but my take on Harbaugh is that he recognizes how poorly this team has been coached and is more likely to give Alex Smith, and other players a chance to get the proper coaching they have never had rather than draft a guy to replace them and toss them on the junk heap.

I agree that Baalke may grab yet another pass rusher before tomorrow night is through is there is value there. This team will be much better with two solid pass rushers than a "just because" QB.

Maybe Bowers will slip. That would be such a steal.

Where do you play him?

Major health issues plus he doesn't really fit the system.
Greg Little, Titus Young, Ryan Mallett, Andy Dalton, Aaron William, Ryan Williams... there's still a lot of talent on the board.

Package it with a late pick and trade for a 2012 1st, if the opportunity is there.

Trading back for Hankerson, K. Ellis, Paea, a CB...

Should be fun to watch.
I would say Paea or Austin. get tougher on the dline. CB and QB might come through free agency. Stanzi or TJ yates might be an eventually QB pick. I wouldn't be shocked if Harbs get his speedy RB today though, maybe Jones...
Alot of very good talent left over from Rd. 1.

I think we go Paea if he's still there.

Round 3 = a cb (lots of good ones in this draft and one should fall to us)

You can never have too many pass rushers.
I think I see the QB strategy, go with Alex Smith this year and go 1-15 and then we can get Luck next year. Losing another year in developing our future QB ugggggh.

That or he has his eye on Dalton/Kap and thinks they will be available the 13th pick today (I don't think so).

Round 2 board for me:

QB: Colin Kaepernick, Andy Dalton
CB: Ras-I Dowling,
DE/NT: Marvin Austin
FS: Rahim Moore

If all are gone, please trade down and get a late 2nd and 3rd for our #45. There will a few players in the #55 to #90 range that will help us greatly at QB/DT/CB/RB
Id like to trade a pick for Josh Johnson or Kolb.

Sure we can spare a 5th rounder for Kolb or a 6th for JJ.
My three favorite QB's are still on the board. Mallet, Kapearnick, Stanzi.

The first two will not be there at #45. IMO they are both special and will prove better than all of the first rounders. I am not holding out much hope of the Niners working a trade to get either though (something the Raiders, actually, might pull off).

Just the Niners persistent talk on the subject of QB's tends to make me feel that they don't view this area of concern as one that they need to critically addreess through the draft. This is a HUGH dissappointment to me and IMO will set back development in this area another year.
For reference the following is a breakdown of the best of the rest from MadDog's 4/22 big board (the number before the pick indicates the slot where MadDog slotted the pick, so obviously if we pick a player with a higher slot value than the pick itself, it's a solid value pick... If you want you can do what I do and input these into excel with a column next to it for the pick number to track players/picks and have a better idea for who will fall to which picks. Once a player is picked, delete from the pick and player column accordingly. It gives you a much better idea for the value that is falling and gets you even more excited when another team reaches on a player thus dropping value to the niners pick. I will try and keep this up to date throughout the day for everyone to follow....Enjoy!
