Micky's Mock [without the QB hype]

So I am one of those who don't see the value in most of the QBs in this draft. Ponder is the only one that really excites me, and yet with his injury history I wouldn't want to bet the farm on him. In this draft I tried to be realistic about the question marks these QBs have and see teams making smarter choices with their top picks. Oh yeah, and I'm on the GO ALL IN NEXT YEAR FOR LUCK BANDWAGON and would be happy if A Smith resigned for a year or two, so here goes:

Houston--AJ Green { we trade with Houston and pick up 3rd round pick}

San Fran----CB Prince A. {fills huge need with instant starter and niner fan}
(2) NT P Taylor [assuming Franklin's gone this is a huge whole to fill]
(3) LB B Carter/ C Carter/ J Sheard/ D Moch/ S Acho [best of who's left]
(3) QB Josh Johnson [we pick player TB wants and trade for JJ when FA opens]
(4) RB S Vareen/ K Hunter/ Q Rodgers/ T Jones [ best of who's left]
(4) OG J Moffit [or best available]
(5) LB C Mathews [can't pass on him]
(6) DE B Bair
(6) QB G McElroy
(7) FB A Sherman [assuming Marecic and Hynoski are gone]

I agree with you that we should not sell out for any QB this year. Get a FA QB and look to get a QB next year.

However, you have Houston trading up to get AJ Green? They have arguably one of the best WR's in the game in Andre Johnson. This trade makes NO sense once so ever!

A more plausible trade scenario would be someone coming up to get Cam Newton.

Very unrealistic mock as well.

Houston doesn't need AJ Green they will be going defense I can almost guarantee it. They are stacked on offense. If they did trade up it might be for Amukamara or Robert Quinn.

Also if we traded down I would want houston's second rounder instead of their third for that trade.

yeah, Houston doesn't need a receiver, but it would be tempting considering the players that are already off the board, and I don't know A Johnson's contract status. This trade could just have easily been with Washington

houston doesn't need a WR. plus i dont think AJ green will fall to 7

Picking the player the other team wants has worked in the past. But we don't know yet when we are allowed to trade with another team so I think only picks can be traded.
