1 Newton, Cam QB Auburn 6'5 248 4.59 Top 5 Pick
Good accuracy. Great Intangibles. But his inexperience is what scares me. He has the upside. But very few starts in his college career. But nonetheless. He will be a top 5 pick, and might go to Buffalo or Cincinnati.
2 Dareus, Marcell 4-3 DT Alabama 6'3 319 4.93 Top 5 Pick
Great blend of pass rush skills and power. Proved in college that he can defintely be a versatile player. Either DE, DT or even a 3-4 NT.
3 Miller, Von OLB Texas A&M 6'2 246 4.53 Top 10 Pick
He is too light for a DE, but perfect for an OLB. If he were to be a DE, or even as a OLB he needs to work on run defense, since he is light, he is likely prone to being man handled.
4 Gabbert, Blaine QB Missouri 6'4 234 4.62 Top 10 Pick
Has great intangibles, but what scares me is coming from a spread offense. And he seems to overthrow his receivers at times. But nonetheless he will be a top pick, and has upside.
5 Quinn, Robert OLB North Carolina 6'4 260 4.7 Top 10 Pick
Pass rusher, will be a perfect 3-4 OLB. Has great instincts, but needs to work on his pass coverage.
6 Green, AJ WR Georgia 6'3 211 4.5 Top 10 Pick
Dynamic WR, may not have the speed that Julio Jones possesses. But he has the ability to go up and get the ball. Making him my most athletic player in the draft.
7 Peterson, Patrick CB LSU 6'0 219 4.34 Top 10 Pick
Dynamic CB, with return skills. He is the most complete player in the draft this year, he has it all. Cover Corner, Speed, Ball Hawk, etc....
8 Fairley, Nick 4-3 DT Auburn 6'3 291 4.87 Top 10 Pick
Nasty player, some call him dirty. I call him simply a football player. And a monster at the pass rushing aspect. And to me, he can be a DE or DT in any scheme.
9 Amukamara, Prince CB Nebraska 6'0 206 4.43 Top 10 Pick
The perfect cover corner, and great against the run. Tackling is a great area that he has excelled at. Will be a #1 CB in the NFL. And should be a solid pick for a team in the top 10-15, maybe Dallas at 9.
10 Jones, Julio WR Alabama 6'2 220 4.39 Top 15 Pick
He is the opposite of AJ Green. He has the speed, maybe not the best go and get the ball in a fight. But he can make the big plays ala Green. So he is a top 10 pick to me.
11 Smith, Aldon OLB Missouri 6'4 263 4.75 Top 15 Pick
Played DE at Missouri. Will be a OLB in the NFL. Great pass rusher, but might struggle in pass coverage. But after playing and learning I expect Smith to be a good one for years to come.
12 Bowers, DaQuan 4-3 DE Clemson 6'3 280 DNP Top 15 Pick
Great explosive techniques, pass rushing monster. He just seems like the total package at DE, and to me, will be a great one at the NFL level. And a wreck to be dealing with for years.
13 Smith, Tyron OT USC 6'5 307 DNP Top 15 Pick
Probably the most athletic Tackle in the draft. Ideal height and length for an OT. Good footwork. But lacks ideal bulk for an OT. May need an adjustment if moves to LT, as he was the Trojans RT.
14 Kerrigan, Ryan 4-3 DE Purdue 6'3 267 4.71 Top 20 Pick
Not sure whether he is a DE or OLB, but I expect he is a 4-3 DE. Maybe in the 15-20 range, with teams like TB and NYG looking at him. Anyway, good pass rusher. Has the intangibles, team captain. But he isn’t the most explosive player, so that might hurt him a bit in the NFL.
15 Ingram, Mark RB Alabama 5'9 215 4.62 Top 20 Pick
The former Heisman winner Mark Ingram is a solid runner. And with Good blocking skills. Only flaw is his speed, not the fastest back.
16 Watt, JJ 3-4 DE Wisconsin 6'5 290 4.84 Top 25 Pick
Tough player, has a great motor, might not be the flashy player people want or the most glamours pick. But he reminds me of Justin Smith, in a sense he has good skills at the pass rushing aspect. And tough.
17 Jordan, Cameron 3-4 DE California 6'4 287 4.78 Top 15 Pick
Great strength, has run defense down pat. Needs to work on his quickness in the pass rushing aspect, but that will come in time.
18 Taylor, Phil NT Baylor 6'3 334 5.2 Top 25 Pick
Has risen up my board since start of the 2010 season. Big player, and what a 3-4 team is looking for in a NT.
19 Castonzo, Anthony OT Boston College 6'7 311 5.23 Top 25 Pick
An experienced 4-year starter at BC. Smart and Good run blocker. Good in the pass blocking as well. Not the most spectacular player, more solid. Needs to get stronger, but thats about it for major weaknesses.
20 Carimi, Gabe OT Wisconsin 6'7 314 5.27 Top 25 Pick
Solid RT in the class. Good blocker. And tough. Will be a solid tackle in the NFL.
21 Solder, Nate OT Colorado 6'8 319 5.05 Top 25 Pick
My best Tackle in the draft. Could go as high as 9 to Dallas or to Detroit. Good blocking skills, and tough athlete.
22 Liuget, Corey 4-3 DT Illinois 6'2 298 4.99 Top 25 Pick
Some have him as high as a top 10 talent, Ive even had him as high as 9 to Tennessee. Great against the run, strength is great. Leader in the locker room. He seems to have it all, and is the all around DT and even DE.
23 Pouncey, Mike C Florida 6'5 303 5.28 Top 25 Pick
Some are not sure whether he is a Center or Guard. I do have him listed as a C, but believe he would make a great RG in the NFL. Good run blocking and pass blocking. But he did struggle at Center, with many bad snaps, especially against inferior opponents.
24 Rudolph, Kyle TE Notre Dame 6'6 259 DNP Late 1st
Very productive in college, but isn't quite the complete TE you look for, and had injury concerns.
25 Locker, Jake QB Washington 6'2 231 4.59 Late 1st
Had he came out in 2010, he would of been a top 10 pick, now he is lucky if he is a 1st round pick. He has good speed, reminds some of Tim Tebow. But with his production falling off in 2010, he has fallen, and some may not have faith in him as a passer.
26 Smith, Jimmy CB Colorado 6'2 211 4.46 Late 1st
Long and athletic, great size and speed. But has average instincts.
27 Smith, Torrey WR Maryland 6'0 204 4.43 Late 1st
Is he Darrius Heyward-Bey or not. He didn’t have the best production, may be a one year wonder. Could of used another year at Maryland. But still a nice player. But still is raw in route running department.
28 Houston, Justin OLB Georgia 6'2 270 4.69 Late 1st-Early 2nd
Played DE in college, and is ready for the transition, but will he have the coverage skills as a OLB, we will see.
29 Sherrod, Derek OT Mississippi State 6'5 321 5.28 Late 1st-Early 2nd
Great run blocker. But still developing with his blind side protection. Versatile. Could be a LT or RT, and high character. But lacks that mean streak you want in a OL.
30 Heyward, Cameron 3-4 DE Ohio State 6'5 294 DNP Late 1st-Early 2nd
Very good run stuffing Lineman. Underachieved in the pass rushing department. And lacks the speed off the edge.
31 Wilkerson, Muhhamed 3-4 DE Temple 6'4 315 4.96 Late 1st-Early 2nd
Has shot up the draft boards, with great combine, and pro day. And is a Top 20 Pick.
32 Paea, Stephen 4-3 DT Oregon State 6'1 303 DNP Late 1st-Early 2nd
Even with his senior bowl injury, he is still one of my top 5 DTs in the draft, and will be a 1st round pick. Great explosive skills, but needs to work on pass rushing skills.
33 Baldwin, Jonathan WR Pittsburgh 6'4 228 4.5 Late 1st- Early 2nd
Tall and physical WR. Great body control, and a Good blocker. But has some character question marks, and failed to impress in 2010, which led to some discussions of staying another year at Pitt. But his lack of stats isn’t all his fault. Since he had zero QB quality at Pitt.
34 Kaepernick, Colin QB Nevada 6'4 233 4.53 Early 2nd
Clearly could be the highest rising QB prospect in the 2011 class. Has good accuracy and strength. Only knock would be the gimmick offense. But not worried about it too much. So, he should be in the top 75 mix.
35 Clayborn, Adrian 4-3 DE Iowa 6'2 281 4.83 Early 2nd
It will be interesting if Clayborn is a DE in a 3-4 or a 4-3 DE or both. His knock is was his 2009 season a fluke, or is he as bad as what he seemed in 2010. But I still have him as a 1st rd pick, but fringe at best.
36 Harris, Brandon CB Miami(Fla.) 5'9 191 4.45 Mid 2nd
Has great upside, good cover corner, but may be a bit soft in coverage. Not great in the run support game. And he is inconsistent.
37 Austin, Marvin 4-3 DT North Carolina 6'1 309 4.9 Mid 2nd
Good quickness, athletic. Well built. But needs better technique, has very little production. And motor is not on high all the times.
38 Ponder, Christian QB Florida State 6'2 229 4.65 Early 2nd
Good instincts, but was benched, and it is uncertain whether that may have effected his psyche. But he will make a good QB and maybe the missing link.
39 Mallett, Ryan QB Arkansas 6'6 253 DNP Late 1st-Early 2nd
Mobility is a huge downside. He has tools, but look too much like Rob Johnson, and not in a good way. Clearly will be a top 5 QB taken, but not deserving of it to me.
40 Ayers, Akeem OLB UCLA 6'2 254 4.88 Early 2nd
Good all around LB prospect. Ideal size and bulk for a LB. But may not be the best rush linebacker. He tends to miss too many tackles.
41 Dalton, Andy QB TCU 6'2 215 4.87 Early 2nd
Was at one point a sleeper, but has risen up draft boards, and was very productive at TCU. And will be a top 75 pick. Has good accuracy, and a strong arm.
42 Williams, Aaron CB Texas 5'11 204 4.52 Mid 2nd
Good cover corner, with great man to man coverage abilities. But average ball skills, not the best ball hawk CB.
43 Wilson, Martez ILB Illinois 6'3 250 4.49 Early 2nd
Great physique, powerful, can be a OLB or ILB in the nfl. Needs to work on his coverage, and he is a bit injury prone.
44 Carter, Bruce OLB North Carolina 6'1 241 DNP Early 3rd
Very productive, but might be a product of the system, with all those great UNC players, and fell off in 2011.
45 Reed, Brooks OLB Arizona 6'2 263 4.68 Late 1st-Early 2nd
Played DE in college, but translates into a OLB in the nfl. Fits in a 3-4 defense. But since he was a DE, he does have pass rushing skills, but needs to work on his coverage skills.
46 Ijalana, Benjamin OG Villanova 6'3 317 DNP Mid 3rd
Has great body, good height, good weight, and long arms. Yet he is still raw, so he will need to have some time to develop.
47 Cobb, Randall WR Kentucky 5'10 191 4.46 Mid 2nd
Very versatile, can play WR and RB, and even some wildcat QB. Very quick, but might not be an every down player, as like stated he could be a wildcat player.
48 Watkins, Danny OG Baylor 6'3 310 5.4 Mid 2nd
Tough and physical player, sometimes he is described as nasty. Excellent strength, but still raw, with only 4 years total of football experience.
49 Hankerson, Leonard WR Miami 6'1 209 4.43 Mid 2nd
Big physical WR. Very productive and has good speed. And great size. But he does lack some explosion.
50 Moore, Rahim FS UCLA 5'11 202 4.57 Mid 2nd
Good one, he has great cover skills. Great ball skills, with 10 career INTs at UCLA. But his flaws are, below average tackler. and Needs to get stronger.
51 Sturvidant, Quan ILB North Carolina 6'1 241 DNP Mid 3rd
Very good instincts, tough and physical. But lacks ideal size for the position.
52 Williams, Ryan RB Virginia Tech 5'9 212 4.61 Early 2nd
Pure dynamic athlete. Big play ability. And Great burst and acceleration. But He is injury prone, missing much of 2010. And not a great pass catching RB.
53 Wisniewski, Stefan C Penn State 6'3 306 Early 4th
Not many flaws at all with him. He has the strength and durability. And can be a dominant Center in the NFL.
54 Dowling, Ras-I CB Virginia 6'1 198 4.46 Mid 2nd
Has good length and movement skills. Good tackler. Inconsistent and has injury issues.
55 Sheard, Jabaal OLB Pittsburgh 6'2 264 4.69 Early 4th
Played DE in college, but will translate as a OLB in the nfl. Good burst, but lacks bulk and strength.
56 Ballard, Christian 4-3 DE Iowa 6'3 283 4.8 Mid-Late 2nd
Great speed, and makes the plays all the time. He played DT and probably is a DE at the next level. But he needs to stay consistent and not take plays off.
57 Cannon, Marcus OG TCU 6'5 358 5.26 Mid-Late 2nd
Very experienced, 3 year starter at TCU. Solid footwork for his size, being over 350 pounds, and 6’5. Versatile, player Tackle, but can move inside and play Guard. But he needs to keep his weight in check, he needs better foot play. And is vulnerable to pass rushers.
58 Young, Titus WR Boise State 5'11 174 4.53 Late 2nd
Speedy WR, had a great Senior Bowl week, some may have him lower, but I feel he can be a dynamic WR and RS, ala DeSean Jackson.
59 Kendricks, Lance TE Wisconsin 6'2 243 4.75 Mid 4th
Lance is a very versatile tight end prospect with a great combination of athletic ability, work ethic, route running, aggressiveness, and play making ability. He gives great effort on every play and is still growing as a player. He displays great ball skills, knows how to get open, and can really get up and snatch the ball out of the air. I believe he has more upside than any other TE in the draft and has already been productive.
60 LeShoure, Mikel RB Illinois 5'11 227 4.59 Late 2nd
Good size and speed for a runner. Had a great junior season, good production. Capable of being an every down back. And has great burst through the hole. But with one season of big time production, he could be labeled as a One year wonder.
61 Acho, Sam OLB Texas 6'1 262 4.68 Early 4th
Long armed, played DE in college, and is likely a 3-4 OLB. But had average production at Texas.
62 Bailey, Allen 3-4 DE Miami(Fla.) 6'3 285 4.77 Mid-Late 2nd
Very versatile. Can play End or Inside. Strong and has a quick burst. But not is dominant pass rusher. Struggles against blockers.
63 Burton, Brandon CB Utah 5'11 190 4.5 Late 2nd
Speedy cover corner. 2 year starter at Utah. But he is a bit thin, and inconsistent.
64 Hudson, Rodney OG Florida State 6'2 299 5.31 Late 3rd
Great run blocker, Athletic guard. And a leader. But is undersized. Not a great pass blocker.
65 Gilchrist, Marcus FS Clemson 5'9 193 4.5 Late 2nd-Early 3rd
Good burst, great recovery burst. Lean and needs to be stronger. And lacks elite speed.
66 Nevis, Drake NT LSU 6'0 294 5.06 Early 3rd
Good motor, always getting to the ball carrier. Had great production at LSU, and gets thru blockers. But he is a bit undersized as a DT.
67 Casey, Jurrell 4-3 DT USC 6'0 300 5.06 Early 3rd
Quick for his frame. Great effort. But Lacks ideal height.
68 Powe, Jerrell NT Ole Miss. 6'1 335 5.29 Early 3rd
Big boy, and ideal size for a 3-4 NT.
69 Carter, Quinton FS Oklahoma 6'0 208 4.62 Early 3rd
Another hard hitting Safety. Experience at both FS and SS. Great character player. But needs to improve on man to man coverage. And needs work on his tackling.
70 Jones, Taiwan RB Eastern Washington Late 2nd-Early 3rd
Small school kid, shooting up boards, and has great speed, but will he be able to translate to the next level.
71 Moch, Dontay OLB Nevada 6'1 248 4.44 Early 3rd
Undersized DE in college, translates to a OLB. Quick burst and acceleration. Disruptive. Needs to prove he can cover as an OLB.
72 Gates, Edmund WR Abilene Christian 5'11 192 4.37 Early 3rd
Sudden and explosive. Great catcher. But still developing as a route runner.
73 Little, Greg WR North Carolina 6'2 231 4.53 Early 3rd
Highly competitive. Strong hands. But has average long speed.
74 Foster, Mason ILB Washington 6'1 245 4.75 Early-Mid 3rd

Smart with outstanding size and toughness. But forces too many throws into coverage.
76 Ellis, Kenrick NT Hampton 6'4 346 5.28 Early-Mid 3rd

Tall and physical cover corner. But not a great tackler.
82 Skrine, Buster CB UT-Chattanoga 5'9 186 4.48 Late 2nd-Early 3rd
Great athlete, fluid. But is on the short side. But has risen up the draft boards, and can be a return man, so double threat.
83 Carpenter, James OT Alabama 6'4 321 5.28 Mid 3rd
Has a nice long limbed and rangy build. Average instincts and lacks anchor strength.
84 Todman, Jordan RB UConn 5'8 203 4.4 Mid-Late 3rd
Great agility. Fights for yards, and versatile, as he can be a RS. But But doesn't have the build to be a every down back.
85 Murray, DeMarco RB Oklahoma 5'11 213 4.41 Mid-Late 3rd
Good patience. Good runner. Not built to withstand contact, and is injury prone.
86 Jones, Greg ILB Michigan State 6'0 240 4.8 Mid-Late 3rd
Tackling machine at MSU. Very experienced, 4-year starter. And Bulked up. But needs to get stronger. And he has average speed.

Good Work AB
It looks like Cam, Gabbert in the top 10, Locker about 25-30, the rest of the guys clustered around the top of the second, then a huge fall off until McElroy
No Stanzi?
For the first time I actually watched the combine on NFL Network. Of course, I was watching all of the QBs. None of the guys were eye popping one way or the other.
This QB draft seems to me to one where these guys are 10s at 2. If Luck entered, none of these guys would be in the first round, I don't think. Cam, Gabbert, Locker, Mallet, Dalton, Ponder. None of these guys are clear cut Bradford / Stafford guys that you know you take #1. They all have warts.
From the combine on, the pitch is always to shave down the warts or cover the warts with zit cream. But, the warts are still there.
It wouldn't surprised me if the top guys bust and one of the others emerges. No can't misses here.

It wouldn't surprised me if the top guys bust and one of the others emerges. No can't misses here.
actually stanzi is 75, but yes I agree, after the three in rd 1, the rest are clustered before our pick. Then after Stanzi, you have McElroy, then its a guess.
