the saints select:
Greg Romeus, DE, Pittsburgh
the saints have to solve their pass-rush issues. Romeus is worth the risk here imo b/c he was once considered as a 1st-round prospect.

TexasNiner, your time is up. i will pick in 5 minutes.
the chiefs select:
Chris Conte, FS, California
both starting Safeties are FAs...an alternative should be drafted.
the ravens select:
Casey Matthews, ILB, Oregon
as per pn.
falcons pick:
KJ Wright, OLB, Mississippi State
yes, still no DE for the falcons but an alternative for LB-corps.

the bears pick:
Shane Vereen, RB, California
yes, they have bigger needs to fill but i want value as well. I dont trust Forte at all...usually, RBs benefit from the Martz-offense, Matt didnt, imo.
Vereen can run, he can catch and he can pass-protect (very important for the bears!!!)

The New York Jets select:
Jerrell Powe, NT, Ole Miss
A NT is probably the Jets biggest need this offseason. Kris Jenkins is always injured and they need youth and an eventual replacement bad. Pouha was solid filling in for Jenkins at the Nose but he's better suited IMO at DE.

Green Bay selects............. Kendall Hunter RB Oklahoma St.
The Packers need a star and depth at the RB position to take pressure off Aaron Rogers. Hunter is great value at the end of round 3.

the panthers have back-to-back picks, so they select:
Will Rackley, OG, Lehigh
and
Chris Culliver, CB, South Carolina
the right side of their o-line was a mess...that is a concern to me, even if otah is back at RT.
furthermore, their CBs suck or they are FAs.
with their 5th-rounder, panthers select:
Rob Housler, TE, Florida Atlantic
chud will run a chargers-system or sth similar, where he needs a pass-catching TE. Housler is fast and he can catch.
with their 6th-rounder, the panthers select:
Josh Portis, QB, California (PA)
the new system needs a strong-armed QB...i would have taken mallett with the 3rd-round pick if he were available there (this could happen in the real draft).
the young brother of skins-portis could easily fall out the draft but i dont care about that. i need sth.
could also get jerrod johnson undrafted...camp fodder but who cares. matt moore is a FA (and not a big help as well). pike sucks even more than clausen (and doesnt have a good arm at all) and clausen could be a good starter but he is a westcoast-guy, not more.

But Niners passed him...which was the RIGHT thing to do.
