Are we going to do that every year!? We need to get the talent right now and start winning. I am sick of looking for the new so called savior! There is not 1 player that will take our team to the promise land. We need to get talented all the way around and give them the experience they need for next year.

Cody Pickett would of been a 1st round pick if he came out early as a Jr but stayed for his Sr year. Had a terrible Sr year which caused him to be drafted in the 7th round.
So it was the bad Sr year that caused him to slip to the 7th round not the horrible performance at the combine and at the Sr bowl.

Then again, if pickett was any good he would have still shined and not faded into oblivion. In other words they saw his flaws. That is why you want to see at least two solid years from a player. I cringe when i hear "he was not as productive as so and so but his upside and potential ....chances are that he never even reaches even have that potential...

Not sure why you say that. Assume that we did this "every year," that would mean that after the first year, we'd always have 2 1st rounders and 0 2nd rounders. How is that not an improvement? I think you're thinking emotionally and not rationally on this one. Stockpiling high picks is almost always the way to go if you can pull it off. That's why there are always teams willing to trade down, but not nearly as many that're willing to trade up.
