Honestly probably. Only way I wouldn't do it is if Peterson was there.

Yeah I mean they would only trade up if they thought the player was really good. But you have to look at the offer and what you can do with it. If you think you're making a good deal then do it, if not then pass. If we got both 1st rounders and 1 of their 2nd round picks, I would probably do it. I'm not sure if we could get that much though. But you can use one of the firsts on a QB, the other on a defensive player like a Jimmy Smith or a Cam Jordan. Or you can get 2 defensive guys like a Jimmy Smith and a Justin Houston, I might do it just for that because I really like both players, then you get your QB in the 2nd.

I don't see the Patriots trying to trade up. They have a history of stockpiling draft picks. Not to mention they are great..the best at taking average talent and turning it into a SB contending team year in and year out.

Trade our 2nd and two 4ths to move up into the end of the 1st, start of the 2nd with NE and snag Ponder, Locker or Dalton. Book it.

Because the pats know that 50% of football is coaching. You can have a bunch of really talented players but without a coach that knows what the f**k they're doing they aren't going to be that effective. Just look at us the last 8 years ever since we got rid of Mooch.

Pats don't trade up. They're too smart for that.

Don't think they would do it, but yes, I would.
If we did that we could get all three need positions (QB, OLB, CB) in the first two rounds.
Something like Houston, Ponder, and House. Or some other combination of nearly top tier guys. Maybe even Kerrigan, Locker and Harris....

They do trade up, but rarely.

God I wish we had Bill around. He could have guided us with any of this.

1.) Miller likely won't fall to #7
2.) As others have mentioned, the Pats almost never move up...they typically trade back
2.) Even if Miller falls to #7, the Pats (either at #17, #28 or #33) could easily take guys like Justin Houston, Ryan Kerrigan or even Brooks Reed and still satisfy their need for a 3-4 OLB. They typically don't need the "top" guy in the draft for that role (like Miller); just someone who has the size/skills/motor to play the position, then they coach him up.

Look for us to wheel and deal with either their #28 pick or #33 pick for our new QB. We did it before with them so we have a lil history there. I truly expect us to land in one of those two spots.
Just sayin'...
And it's a hell of a lot cheaper than moving up to #4 from #7 to land a QB like Gabbert or Newton.

But other QB-needy teams will also be wanting those picks, so they won't come cheap. IMO, there will be a bidding war for those picks, and many teams will be left out in the cold in trying to move back in to the late 1st/early 2nd.
