1 Patrick peterson CB LSU--Absolute steal at #7!! Much needed help in back field
2 Christian Ponder QB FSU-- Ponder falls to us and we get Harbaugh's next student, Dalton is our man if Ponder is gone
3 Bruce Carter UNC/Dontay Moch OLB NV-- We need more pressure to help the rest of the DB's
4a Kendrick Ellis NT Hampton-- insurance if Franklin leaves, big bodied and can be the anchor of our run game and line
4b John Moffit G/C Wisconsin--possible future G if Rachal doesn't do well under the new management
5 Edmund Gates WR Abilene or Ricardo Lockette WR Fort Valley--speedy WR from small school program, raw but could stretch the field and take Safety attention away from VD and Crabs
6a Austin Pettis WR BSU- sure handed and big bodied, perfect for the redzone...lots of production at Boise State
6b Da'Rel Scott RB Maryland--shifty back that can take a screen pass and get some yards
7a Greg McElroy QB Alabama-smart QB that can help this team in practice and breaking down film...just not big enough to be starting QB...can play 3-4 games if starter is injured
7b Richard Sherman CB Stanford- familar with the defense and can be a good man to man cover corner in time
7c Henry Hynoski FB Pitt- I'd love to reunite Marecic and Harbaugh but it didn't happen in this mock. Hynoski is a big FB and can clear holes, also can catch out of the back field.

I'll be doing backflips if this actually happens.

Me too. Just about everything would have played out just right for us.

Awesome draft! If that happened I would be very happy. The only thing that would make it perfect is to trade Pettis for Marecic. That dude is just too perfect for the Harbaugh ran WCO!
We need a true WCO FB. We have plenty of big possession type receivers in Crabtree and Morgan.

Swap Prince in for Peterson and Dalton in for Ponder and you have our draft. It'd be awesome if those 2 fell I wouldn't plan on it though.
Personally I think there's a very good chance Cincinnati ends up with Peterson and Ponder as their 1-2 punch.

the guys are all good picks and would be excited that they are on the niners. i'm not certain what website you go to for player projections but i think we are going to miss on the front end of your draft. we have a shot at peterson but i think his hype will grow last minute and he will be taken before our pick. i think ponder will go in the late first round and i think kendrick ellis is going to be a 2nd rounder. i don't like moch either but carter is fine. like the other picks.

Don't quite see that. Carter or Moch as the only contribution to our pass rush is not going to work. Carter isn't even a 3-4 OLB pass rusher type. This is one need that needs to be addressed at long last - NO exceptions.

The problem is this year's class is very top heavy. There's really no one worth the pick in the 2nd round so unless we force the pick in the 1st we're going to have to take a risk.
You can't hit every need, and let's face it Peterson and Prince are just better prospects with alot less risk compared to Quinn.

peterson will help the pass rush. more time... i dont get your thoughts... we have 2 cbs on the field 2 olb. we got 1 for each. Now to spit facts out our secondary is weaker than our pass rush. Im happy we helped in both areas in this mock draft.
