Just thought I would share with everyone my big 100 board which is work on progress, reason why, I have all 100 ranked, but working on analysis of all, got up to 70, with exception of a few players im doing a little more research on.
1 Patrick Peterson, CB LSU
Dynamic CB, with return skills. He is the most complete player in the draft this year, he has it all. Cover Corner, Speed, Ball Hawk, etc....
2 Marcell Dareus, DT Alabama
Great blend of pass rush skills and power. Proved in college that he can defintely be a versatile player. Either DE, DT or even a 3-4 NT.
3 A.J. Green, WR Georgia
- Dynamic WR, may not have the speed that Julio Jones possesses. But he has the ability to go up and get the ball. Making him my most athletic player in the draft.
4 Von Miller, OLB Texas A&M
Pass rusher, will be a perfect 3-4 OLB. Has great instincts, but needs to work on his pass coverage.
5 Robert Quinn, OLB North Carolina
He is too light for a DE, but perfect for an OLB. If he were to be a DE, or even as a OLB he needs to work on run defense, since he is light, he is likely prone to being man handled.
6 Nick Fairley, DT Auburn
Nasty player, some call him dirty. I call him simply a football player. And a monster at the pass rushing aspect. And to me, he can be a DE or DT in any scheme.
7 Da’Quan Bowers, DE Clemson
Great explosive techniques, pass rushing monster. He just seems like the total package at DE, and to me, will be a great one at the NFL level. And a wreck to be dealing with for years.
8 Julio Jones, WR Alabama
He is the opposite of AJ Green. He has the speed, maybe not the best go and get the ball in a fight. But he can make the big plays ala Green. So he is a top 10 pick to me.
9 Prince Amukamara, CB Nebraska
The perfect cover corner, and great against the run. Tackling is a great area that he has excelled at. Will be a #1 CB in the NFL. And should be a solid pick for a team in the top 10-15, maybe Dallas at 9.
10 Cameron Jordan, DE California
Great strength, has run defense down pat. Needs to work on his quickness in the pass rushing aspect, but that will come in time.
11 Cam Newton, QB Auburn
Good accuracy. Great Intangibles. But his inexperience is what scares me. He has the upside. But very few starts in his college career. But nonetheless. He will be a top 5 pick, and might go to Buffalo or Cincinnati.
12 Aldon Smith, OLB Missouri
Played DE at Missouri. Will be a OLB in the NFL. Great pass rusher, but might struggle in pass coverage. But after playing and learning I expect Smith to be a good one for years to come.
13 J.J. Watt, DE Wisconsin
Tough player, has a great motor, might not be the flashy player people want or the most glamours pick. But he reminds me of Justin Smith, in a sense he has good skills at the pass rushing aspect. And tough.
14 Mark Ingram, RB Alabama
The former Heisman winner Mark Ingram is a solid runner. And with Good blocking skills. Only flaw is his speed, not the fastest back.
15 Ryan Kerrigan, DE Purdue
Not sure whether he is a DE or OLB, but I expect he is a 4-3 DE. Maybe in the 15-20 range, with teams like TB and NYG looking at him. Anyway, good pass rusher. Has the intangibles, team captain. But he isn’t the most explosive player, so that might hurt him a bit in the NFL.
16 Phil Taylor, DT Baylor
Has risen up my board since start of the 2010 season. Big player, and what a 3-4 team is looking for in a NT.
17 Stephen Paea, DT Oregon State
Even with his senior bowl injury, he is still one of my top 5 DTs in the draft, and will be a 1st round pick. Great explosive skills, but needs to work on pass rushing skills.
18 Blaine Gabbert, QB Missouri
Gabbert has very good numbers, though his junior season doesn’t show it. Might be because of less talent in 2010 then in 2009. What scares me is the gimmick shot gun offense they ran in Missouri. So I would not touch him in the top 10, but knowing teams who are enamored with QBs he will be a 1st rd pick, and top 10.
19 Nate Solder, OT Colorado
My best Tackle in the draft. Could go as high as 9 to Dallas or to Detroit. Good blocking skills, and tough athlete.
20 Jimmy Smith, CB Colorado
Solder’s teammate Jimmy Smith is my 3rd best CB in the draft. He haas been rising up draft boards across the net and in the NFL. Good cover skills.
21 Adrian Clayborn, DE Iowa
It will be interesting if Clayborn is a DE in a 3-4 or a 4-3 DE or both. His knock is was his 2009 season a fluke, or is he as bad as what he seemed in 2010. But I still have him as a 1st rd pick, but fringe at best.
22 Gabe Carimi, OT Wisconsin
Solid RT in the class. Good blocker. And tough. Will be a solid tackle in the NFL.
23 Corey Liuget, DT Illinois
Some have him as high as a top 10 talent, Ive even had him as high as 9 to Tennessee. Great against the run, strength is great. Leader in the locker room. He seems to have it all, and is the all around DT and even DE.
24 Mike Pouncey, C Florida
Some are not sure whether he is a Center or Guard. I do have him listed as a C, but believe he would make a great RG in the NFL. Good run blocking and pass blocking. But he did struggle at Center, with many bad snaps, especially against inferior opponents.
25 Christian Ponder, QB Florida State
Good instincts, but was benched, and it is uncertain whether that may have effected his psyche. But he will make a good QB and maybe the missing link.
26 Randall Cobb, WR Kentucky
Very versatile, can play WR and RB, and even some wildcat QB. Very quick, but might not be an every down player, as like stated he could be a wildcat player.
27 Jonathan Baldwin, WR Pittsburgh
Tall and physical WR. Great body control, and a Good blocker. But has some character question marks, and failed to impress in 2010, which led to some discussions of staying another year at Pitt. But his lack of stats isn’t all his fault. Since he had zero QB quality at Pitt.
28 Justin Houston, OLB Georgia
Great specimen for an 3-4 OLB. His strength is being an explosive OLB, but he does have ok coverage skills, but needs some work on it.
29 Aaron Williams, CB Texas
Good cover corner, with great man to man coverage abilities. But average ball skills, not the best ball hawk CB.
30 Brandon Harris, CB Miami(Fla.)
Has great upside, good cover corner, but may be a bit soft in coverage. Not great in the run support game. And he is inconsistent.
31 Ryan Williams, RB Virginia Tech
Pure dynamic athlete. Big play ability. And Great burst and acceleration. But He is injury prone, missing much of 2010. And not a great pass catching RB.
32 Cameron Heyward, DE Ohio State
Very good run stuffing Lineman. Underachieved in the pass rushing department. And lacks the speed off the edge.
33 Anthony Castonzo, OT Boston College
An experienced 4-year starter at BC. Smart and Good run blocker. Good in the pass blocking as well. Not the most spectacular player, more solid. Needs to get stronger, but thats about it for major weaknesses.
34 Tyron Smitth, OT USC
Probably the most athletic Tackle in the draft. Ideal height and length for an OT. Good footwork. But lacks ideal bulk for an OT. May need an adjustment if moves to LT, as he was the Trojans RT.
35 Mikel LeShoure, RB Illinois
Good size and speed for a runner. Had a great junior season, good production. Capable of being an every down back. And has great burst through the hole. But with one season of big time production, he could be labeled as a One year wonder.
36 Martez Wilson, ILB Illinois
My best ILB, athletic, great size and speed, can play OLB and ILB, so he is versatile. Overagressive at times, and has injury issues in the past.
37 Jake Locker, QB Washington
Had he came out in 2010, he would of been a top 10 pick, now he is lucky if he is a 1st round pick. He has good speed, reminds some of Tim Tebow. But with his production falling off in 2010, he has fallen, and some may not have faith in him as a passer.
38 Kyle Rudolph, TE Notre Dame
Injury prone, slow TE. But still my top TE. As he has good route running ability. And great ball skills.
39 Brooks Reed, OLB Arizona
-
40 Akeem Ayers, OLB UCLA
Good all around LB prospect. Ideal size and bulk for a LB. But may not be the best rush linebacker. He tends to miss too many tackles.
41 Drake Nevis, DT LSU
Good motor, always getting to the ball carrier. Had great production at LSU, and gets thru blockers. But he is a bit undersized as a DT.
42 Derek Sherrod, OT Mississippi State
Great run blocker. But still developing with his blind side protection. Versatile. Could be a LT or RT, and high character. But lacks that mean streak you want in a OL.
43 Derrick Locke, RB Kentucky
-
44 Torrey Smith, WR Maryland
Is he Darrius Heyward-Bey or not. He didn’t have the best production, may be a one year wonder. Could of used another year at Maryland. But still a nice player. But still is raw in route running department.
45 Brandon Burton, CB Utah
Speedy cover corner. 2 year starter at Utah. But he is a bit thin, and inconsistent.
46 Titus Young, WR Boise State
Speedy WR, had a great Senior Bowl week, some may have him lower, but I feel he can be a dynamic WR and RS, ala DeSean Jackson.
47 Greg Jones, ILB Michigan State
Tackling machine at MSU. Very experienced, 4-year starter. And Bulked up. But needs to get stronger. And he has average speed.
48 Rashard “Rock” Carmichael, CB Virginia Tech
Great Speed. 2 year starter at VT. Good ball skills. Not a strong tackler. Needs better techniques.
49 Rahim Moore, S UCLA
- Good one, he has great cover skills. Great ball skills, with 10 career INTs at UCLA. But his flaws are, below average tackler. and Needs to get stronger.
50 Muhhamed Wilkerson, DT Temple
Fast rising. Great pass rushing DT, with 15 sacks over last 2 seasons. But he has good speed, but not overly fast.
51 Danny Watkins, OG Baylor
Underrated OL, had a good Senior Bowl week in mobile, al. God foot work. Former TE, turned OG. But is 26 years old, which may cause for a drop, but will be a good OG in time.
52 Robert Sands, S West Virginia
Hard hitter. Playmaking potential. Very experienced. 3 year starter at WVU. But is an average tackler.
53 Quinton Carter, S Oklahoma
Another hard hitting Safety. Experience at both FS and SS. Great character player. But needs to improve on man to man coverage. And needs work on his tackling.
54 Leonard Hankerson, WR Miami(Fla.)
Big physical WR. Very productive and has good speed. And great size. But he does lack some explosion.
55 Marcus Cannon, OT/OG TCU
Very experienced, 3 year starter at TCU. Solid footwork for his size, being over 350 pounds, and 6’5. Versatile, player Tackle, but can move inside and play Guard. But he needs to keep his weight in check, he needs better foot play. And is vulnerable to pass rushers.
56 DeAndre McDaniel, S Clemson
- playmaker. Knack for the big hitting. Good coverage and good ball skills. But needs to work on his tackling.
57 John Moffitt, OG Wisconsin
Big guard. Built for the run game. Stronng and physical. But isn’t the best athlete. And does not move well laterally.
58 Ahmad Black, S Florida
Good coverage S, and great tackler. But is small for safety. Average speed and needs better strength.
59 Terrance Tolliver, WR LSU
Ideal size, good combination of size and speed. 2 year starter at LSU, but he is inconsistent. And has character issues.
60 Rodney Hudson, OG Florida State
Great run blocker, Athletic guard. And a leader. But is undersized. Not a great pass blocker.
61 Deunta Williams, S North Carolina
Excellent awareness. And coverage skills. But is injury prone, as he hurt himself in the teams bowl game. Play dropped off as senior, but may be due to less talent then in 2009.
62 Jerrell Powe, DT Ole Miss.
Big boy, and ideal size for a 3-4 NT.
63 Davon House, CB New Mexico State
Tall and physical cover corner. But not a great tackler.
64 Johnny Patrick, CB Louisville
-
65 Marvin Austin, DT North Carolina
Good quickness, athletic. Well built. But needs better technique, has very little production. And motor is not on high all the times.
66 Buster Skrine, CB
-
67 Allen Bailey, DE Miami(Fla.)
Very versatile. Can play End or Inside. Strong and has a quick burst. But not is dominant pass rusher. Struggles against blockers.
68 Tandon Doss, WR Indiana
Tall possession WR. Catches away from body. But has inconsistency. Not big numbers. But was a 2 time Big Ten performer.
69 Dontay Moch, OLB Nevada
Undersized DE in college, translates to a OLB. Quick burst and acceleration. Disruptive. Needs to prove he can cover as an OLB.
70 Mark Herzlich, OLB Boston College
Great player, overcame so much, from cancer to cancer free. Great instincts. and good football smarts. But does lack burst and is overagressive at times.

Great job so far.
Just a couple notes. It's lookin more like Aaron Williams is gonna have to make the move to safety and Sands is gonna have to make the move to OLB. Don't know if that changes your projections of them.
No Curtis Brown love? IMO he's one of the best corners in the draft.

The top 40 look pretty well placed, after that though it's all over the place and honestly some guys should be dropped out of your top 70 all together. But it's your board and they're all different I guess.

thanks buddy.
I like Brown also, I forget where I have him, but he is in my top 150, and a solid 3rd-4th rd pick.

thanks, I think I have some guys higher and lower than others, basically My feeling on the players.
I will get heat for this, Mallett not anywhere near my top 100, I think he is a bust.

39 Brooks Reed, OLB Arizona
Brooks Reed is my choice for work out warrior of this draft.
His production in college was not that great.
His team mate Ricky Elmore had 13 sacks, Reed 6.5.
Elmore also had more, not many more, but more tackles and tackles for loss.
64 Johnny Patrick, CB Louisville
I agree. Most people seem to underestimate Patrick. This guy has ball skills.
If we need a CB in the third and he is there we should take him or trade back into the second to get him.

wow!
pretty bold saying he could drop to the fourth round!!!!
Ok, no probs at least you are not afraid to call as you see it... personally I think there is such a high premium on the qb hungry nfl that he doesn't go past the 2nd round, within the first 16 picks of the 2nd

i see Mallett as a 1st-2nd rd guy, but feel he is a bust in the waiting.
