Amukamara is not a rare talent like Quinn. Plain and simple. Depends if you want a star or a solid starter. At #7 you have to take a guy you think will be a star.
Uhh, dude who goes 6'0'' 205 and runs a 4.38 is not a rare talent? Who also posesses a ton of intelligence(35 on wonderlic) and good technique, and good workout? Prince posesses the intangibles as well as the physical talent. And he has good character. I'm not against Quinn but you are slighting Prince MAJOR here.
In this draft? About 5 other guys, 3 which aren't even mentioned in 1st round discussion. Alot more that are close in weight or 40 time. Why did you even bring up the Wonderlic? Jimmy Smith will probably be a better corner than Amukamara and I wouldn't be surprised to see Smith chosen ahead of him either.
lol Name them then. I'm guessing Smith is not that fast although I think he is about 6'2'', and for all you know Smith could turn out to be a jackass and team cancer. Not to mention Colorado played a ton of zone. I brought up the wonderlic because Prince is a quick learner who can play right away, and he is smart enough to not get himself in trouble. He's also a good teammate.

Quinn by a mile. Amukamara seems to struggle against larger receivers and in the NFL, there are a bunch of them. If he can't press and shove the WR around he's very average.
Quinn is just a natural pass rusher. Great angle coming around hte corner without losing speed or power, that's just something you can't coach. He will turn out to be a great one.[/left]
he struggled against 1 WR and magically he is labeled as struggling against bigger receivers. Hmmmmm
Watch the game against Texas in Big 12 championship. He had no problem covering Kirkendoll and Shipley, yet had issues against Malcolm Williams. Williams is UT's only big receiver, and wasn't close to being their best but looked effective against Amukamara.

For the season, Prince was targeted a total of 53 times and only 18 passes were completed against him.
While in comparison, Jeff Fuller had 7 catches for 83 yards against PP, and Julio Jones had 10 catches for 87 yards. 17 rec. for 170 yards in 2 games. Fuller is 6'4, 215. Jones is 6'3, 220. If anyone is going to have trouble against the big receivers it will be the overrated Patrick Peterson.

Chimdi Chekwa
Chris Culliver
Ras-I Dowling
Joseph Lefeged
Patrick Peterson
Jimmy Smith
There's 2 (maybe 3) names you've probably heard of on there. Smith is taller, bigger, and has the same 40 time as Amukamara. Smith could be moving ahead of Amukarama, and perhaps even Harris from Miami.

Forget even responding to this guy, he thinks that Brandon Harris could pass Prince? Give me friggin break, I like Harris but even Mayock and co on NFL net have him as a nickleback and a 2nd-3rd round pick. Chekwa and Lefeged could be good players but aren't even in the same dimension as Prince. The only ones who could even be mentioned with Prince and Peterson are Smith and Dowling, and Dowling played poorly after dealing with severe injuries(which is to be expected) and Smith could supposedly be a thug.

Did you read the article? The numbers don't seem to agree with your statement.
Joyner broke down the statistics of Amukamara and some of the draft's other corners and found that he lagged behind. "In fact, his performance level placed him well behind some other cornerbacks that are considered borderline first-round choices," Joyner wrote.
