MadDog's Big 200 Board

Here is the ever expanding Big 200 Board, generally covering the first six rounds of the NFL Draft. The Big Board is always in a state of evolution, and all input is appreciated.

With the majority of Pro-Days in the book, the firsthand evaluation of players by scouts and coaches is slowly coming to a conclusion. However, there are still some big players yet to show off their stuff, so I will attempt to post a new, and full 250+ player Big Board covering the full draft in early April. And, changes will surely be seen.

As always, this is NOT a mock draft, but a projection of the area I feel each player will land. Trades alter everything. Some trades have been built into the first round, but are not labeled (the Cowboys trading up from 9 to 6; the Pats trading away their 28th overall). So, some player placements may seem odd. However, the bulk of the first round does play out in a straight mock like fashion. I have projected a pass rushing OLB and CB to the Niners with their 7th and 45th pick. I do not believe the team will sit pat with their 76th overall.

Cheers.

Peterson should be #1

that's a mock draft

Great job as always. Thanks.

Question on Quinn. I know from 3 point stance he can keep shoulder about 9 inches off ground at full speed when going around tackle to QB. Do you think he can maintain that type of rush from standing 3 4 OLB position?
I wish...hope.....wish.... we could get this guy in the 5th!

Bout time you woke up and smelled the Ponder.

...Now if we can just get you to realize how off you are with Stanzi. To think NO qb will be drafted between the 49th and 100th pick is a little wackadoo.

A little curious why you have Devlin rated higher than Yates, Taylor and Tolzien.

The area, not the exact spot. In other words, is David Carter going to be drafted by ___ team with the 137th pick? I'm not saying this is the case. But, I project he will go somewhere in that late 5th round area, somewhere around 137.

The reason I am not labeling a mock draft for 6 rounds is that there are so many trades that take place that it is silly to project out a team and player that far from the first pick.

We are going to see on March 31, at North Carolina's Pro-Day. Quinn is a pretty exceptional athlete (I do think he has the ability to stay low and bend around OT's), so I do not see a problem converting to the 3-4 backer position if needed.

I'd love to see the medical reports on Quinn, who is living with a tumor. This could be a small factor that possibly drives him slightly down the board on draft day.

He's a terrific open field athlete, but just needs to stay healthy. Workout upcoming that could push him considerably higher on the board. Very fast kid. Pro Day on March 31st.

Not just a tumor, but a tumor that should make him a veggie... But somehow he's alive and fuctionally, but he has the ability to play football!!!! lol amazing, This could be the p willis, M oher kind of story!
I hope the guy at #7 is drafted at the same spot.
Appreciate the work man! This is honestly one of the few big boards I'll check around draft season

This is an odd year for QB's, especially with the uncertainty of the CBA. If this puppy gets resolved before the draft, and free agency is allowed to play out, I believe you will see a depreciation in the value of the rookie QB this season, and a drop across the board for the QB's as a whole.

I just don't see much interest in QB's beyond the top 7 for the value of a late second rounder or early third rounder. Now, Stanzi may have a stunning workout and launch himself into the third round, or even late second. He certainly could greatly benefit on a run on QB's early. I just don't buy that there is much interest in him in the NFL, and that keeps his value in the 4th round. I know you feel he will be an outstanding pro, but the guys who pull the lever don't have the same feel.

Maybe Stanzi can generate a buzz on Monday.

As for Devlin, there is more upside than for Yates, Taylor, Tolzien, who are probably 7th rounders or priority free agents. Devlin, Enderle and Froman will be the guys that GM's will look toward in the late rounds to develop. Yated will have his shot at UNC's Pro-Day on 3/31 to make a statement.
