Pat, I love Moffitt, could be a nice 3rd or 4th rd pick.
Versatile, and has great strength.

That's what I was thinking too. We need depth at OG and C. Maybe he can be a starter? At worst, a solid backup. I hope that the 49ers draft him.

exactly what im thinking.
He would step In at RG IMO for Rachal who is trash. Another terrible McClousless pick in 2008, with Balmer.

I heard that he's 25 though. His age worries a little.

maybe a little, but i think he could be our RG for a good 10 yrs. If not and we only spend a 3rd no biggie, Rachal was just a bad choice, he was raw and still is. I have hope but no faith in him.

I like him a lot. A good player. Strong and fundamentally sound. Well schooled like a typical Wisconsin O Linemen. They develop good O Linemen there.

I guess with O-lineman I'm not really concerned with age as much as other positions, especially the skill positions. Same thing with Danny Watkins from Baylor being 27 by the time the season starts. O-lineman seem to have much longer careers than other positions and can still be effective in the NFL from the mid to late 30's. Obviously you'd want someone younger but I don't think age should become much of a factor when scouting O-lineman. At least IMO.

I thought I was the only one with this thought
If this guy can be got in the 4th, that would be great.

I have been thinking the same thing for over a month
We can bench Chilo and cut Snyder

I don't think 25 years old is a negativel for a Guard. I think Ray Brown was much older when he came to us and played a number of years at a very high level.

Moffitt is probably going to be a late 2nd rounder, so the Niners will need to reach for him in the 40s, or trade down or up. I don't see him around when the Niners pick in the third.

Probably so. And we have other needs but I like him as a player. He's good.
