Newb here, just wondering you guys opinion. With Carr crash the only QB on the roster, and the CBA deal still up in the air, the ONLY sure way we get a QB is via the draft. Who do you guys want and why? Also, I'd like to hear the various scenarios of how you think we'd acquire them (trading back, trading up, what we give in exchange). Thanks.

Since you are new, I won't give you a hard time. On the other hand, here are some tips.
1.) Ambiguous thread titles are discouraged. For example, yours doesn't really state what this thread is about and can be annoying to some.
2.) There are lots of threads in the draft section on QB's and needs. If you read some of the threads you will find the info you want and even join in on the conversation. Most people on here don't want to draft a QB in the 1st round and want to wait till 2 and beyond.
3.) They are always cracking down on unnecessary threads on here, so make sure your thread is necessary and not spoken of before (use the search engine to find similar threads). This will keep your thread from being locked or merged.
Have fun.

Kidding. You might want to take a look at a number of different threads already posted on these topics, then post your own opinion as you see fit.

For a quick list and some initial reading look HERE.
How the rankings are looking so far....
Should/Could be 1st rounders (no specific order):
Gabbert
Newton
Mallet
Locker
2nd-3rd rounders (no specific order):
Dalton
Ponder
Kapp
Stanzi
Devlin (on the fringe)
Any of the 2nd list guys could obviously fall further. Chances are 1 of the top list guys falls as well.
Everybody has a favorite or two, as well as a non-favorite.

I've actually heard of Devlin being in the 2nd more often then I've heard of Dalton being there, usually see him as 3rd rounder. Ponder's stock is only hurt by his history of injuries. The senior bowl could definitely boost Dalton's and Ponder's stocks. People are raving about Kaepernick's performance this week. I read that he very quickly working his way up team's draft boards.

I couldn't disagree more, I am hoping that Newton has a lights out combine and he gets picks ahead of us.

THIS article will give you a rundown on pretty much every draft, trade, possible FA QB on the radar.
As to who we might get and why, there are plenty of opinions, so as mentioned, check out all the threads on the subject.
Regarding the CBA, that shouldn't affect things much, because there is very little likelihood of no NFL season, and probably not that it doesn't get done before the draft.
Most of that is posturing by the owners. So even if for some reason we have a FA period after the draft, we will have the chance to sign/trade for a vet if we choose.
And again, for varying opinions on that, check out other threads here and in NFL talk.

Devlin was not impressive int he EW game, which I think dropped him a bit.
