LOL the pats would never make that trade. They could use 17 on someone thats a better investment than Frank Gore.

Frank has at most 2 years left imo, although I think it's likely we start to see a significant decrease starting this next year.

You lost me at trading Gore for the PATS 17th overall......the Pats would NEVER make that trade. They value their draft picks which is why they are so good each and every year. If anything, they will trade out of that pick to stock up on more future picks

I agree with all of this except the two year timeframe. I think he'll be active longer, but won't be featured back beyond 2.

Why do people always want to trade our best players? As bad as we have been for nearly a decade and yet countless times I see "trade Frank Gore", or "trade Vernon Davis", why you trade one of your few bright spots is beyond me. You build around these talents and thats what creates championship football teams, you DO NOT ship them away. Besides coming off another injury nobody would give a first round pick for Frank, much less a second and fourth as well, especially the Pats.

Trade Parys Haralson to Jacksonville for their first rounder
