What the hell. These are mostly cathartic endeavors. I'm sure plenty will change between now and April, but here is how I would like to see the draft fall for us:
1st Round- CB Prince Amukamara - This was a toss up between Prince and Quinn. I don't like the year off for Quinn and I believe that CB is a slightly bigger need. We should be able to get better pressure on the opposing QB with better schemed blitzes.
2nd Round- OLB Jeremy Beal - He might not be available when we pick, but these two picks would usher in a period of strength for this defense.
3rd Round- QB Ricky Stanzi - I happen to think that Stanzi could develop into a great WCO passer. He has the poise, athleticism, and experience necessary.
4th Round- OLB Greg Romeus - A kid with tons of potential but a history of injuries. We take a flier.
4th Round - CB Jalil Brown - Has the size and speed to play in a 3-4. His experience should make for a good transition.
5th Round- OG Justin Boren - Big bruiser from the Big Ten. Love his nasty style and ability to play all three interior positions.
6th Round- RB Derrick Locke - This kid might be small but he is as tough as anyone. He has the perfect skill set for the WCO.
6th Round- QB Scott Tolzien - We might as well bring in several options for this position. Tolzien is accurate, smart, and high character.
7th Round - DT Dexter Larimore - Big bodied and tough nosed. At 6' 1" 310 lbs he could compete at the nose or as a 3-4 DE. He won't get to the QB but he will definitely stand his ground.
7th Round - DT Ted Laurent - Another big body to compete on the DL.
So, I gave it a shot. I tried to hit the three biggest needs (OLB, CB, and QB) with two picks each to be safe.

I like your draft (No not just because of your Stanzi pick but it helped). I liked it because you took a chance on some picks and filled some needs in Romeus and Brown. I love your last two 7th round picks, Larimore could be a steal at 7th, IMO I think he might go a little higher though.

Thank you. I tried to focus on our top needs and fill in the rest with some guys that have interesting skill sets. The reason I think Larimore will be available this late is the abundance of talent above him at this position and because he really only fits a 3-4. He doesn't really have any pass rush abilities but definitely holds his ground. The late rounds are just so hard to predict, especially this early!

Draft is not bad at all. I think Quinn will be a "can't miss" prospect after the combine, he is THAT talented but I'll be happy with him or Prince.
I would throw in a WR in the mid rounds though and that 4th round pick of Locke, I love it. That kid is FAST

I might be the only one that is comfortable with our WRs. I think Crabtree will have a bounce back year and Morgan will fit nicely into the WCO. Ginn's speed still has to be respected and Kyle Williams is the wildcard. Getting him healthy will be like getting a new WR.
