Demarcus Ware was #11, that is close enough.

The bigger question is how many times has a pass-rush specialist 3-4 OLB been taken in the top 10 at all? I don't think the failure ratio is nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

Aaron Maybin was taken #11 in the 2009 draft.

My concern is that I haven't seen a lot of OLB drafted high that end up being "game changers" in a long time, but I have seen a lot of flops. That's not saying that would happen with someone like Quinn, but it is enough to make me uncertain about the value of the pick.

Who are the top 10 pass-rush specialist 3-4 OLB's you're talking about? The one's you've seen a lot of?

vernon gholston
I'm right with you people who say no QB at #7.
I would be fine with the usual cry of a pass rusher or CB

Any QB not named Cam Newton.
Any RB not named Noel Devine
Any WR not named Aj Green, Julio Jones, or Titus young
Any TE
Any overrated DE/OLB who didnt put up squat for numbers during the season but a bunch of numbers for scouts in t-shirts

Our draft this year should be about speed on the outside, we severely lack it. In the 1st round i would love Julio Jones or AJ Green or Cam Newton. Thats it. Any one of those three and we will be competing for a superbowl next year. Secondary should be our number 1 priority if we dont fix that pathetic offense first. PP from LSU is very good returning but im wondering if his ball skills are a bit overrated, very tough tho. Prince is a overrated as much as Joe Haden was last year. Average at best.
Devine would be an excellent kick and punt returner and change of pace back(not that we ever use them)
what i have learned from past drafts no one ever gets who they want if we do get someone who we didnt want to draft all people do is b''ch n moan about it like its the end of the world

ya joe haden was sooo average, how many picks as a rookie did he get again
Cam Newton, Ponder, any spread offense Qb that doesn't know how to take a snap under center. There's guys I don't want with the 1st Pick at 7 but the question is "who do you not want us to draft"...meaning not on the team at all from any round. I agree with many others that say most people will just complain who we didn't get.
Just trust the new management in place...

Don't care how it happens but I would like Von Miller at 7. Trade back up wherever we need to for Locker and get Mareic, the Stanford fullback in whatever round he's available.
No spread QB.
No QB who needs "re-worked" mechanics.
No position changers.
No one with less than 3 years of on-field college film.
No one who lost all or a significant part of last season to injury.
No one who is less than fully committed to pro football.
No one with off-field issues involving violence toward women, gangs, drugs.
No one who is outside of the 10% fastest at their respective combine position.
No one, at any position, without quick feet and excellent change of direction ability.
No one who declines to work out and be timed.
No one who is perceived as a jerk within the locker room.
No one who just wants to be paid.
