I like the trade back but I think we take Prince if he's there at 10. I also don't see us trading back into the first round at all.

Triple post, wow. Interesting scenario.... not sure when McNabb is due a roster bonus (10 million???) so for sure he will be cut before then. Is it before free agency or is it before June 1st? If he is still on the roster and the CBA is signed then I could see it potentially happening. Otherwise, if the bonus is due before the draft and the CBA is done then I see him getting cut. No way they pay him 10 million or whatever the bonus is. Obviously, we have to hope they cut him then we can save a bit draft pick wise. Still, 7 to 10 isn't that bad if we have a guy at 10 in mind. I bet Prince would be gone because I think Dallas picks after us.

This. The reason I see Mcnabb being shopped is because Shannahan is not that stupid. He will try to get whatever he can for Mcnabb before releasing him and he knows the 49ers will be looking for a WCO QB to start RIGHT NOW and Mcnabb can do just that.
If they are willing to give up Mcnabb, two 5th rounders AND we only move back 3 spots and still have a shot at Prince, I'd jump all over that. Come away with a 2011 Starting QB, a shut down corner and either our future QB or Pass rusher in the 2nd with 10 more picks NOT INCLUDING any comp picks, that would be perfect.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Exactly. Trade makes no sense.

Realgm needs to stick to basketball. I don't think they really know much about football. Dareus and Prince falling that far down the 1st is unrealistic.

If the guru has the Niners swapping 1st and secod round swaps with the Eagles for kevin Kolb, I am all for it.
The Niners get their WCO qb who is young and is tough and they still get two top 50 picks.
I should be a GM/

First the CBA won't get done before the draft. So trading for players won't happen. Mute point.
