Apparently he is a sleeper running back that I haven't heard of. His highlight film reminds me of a Rodger Craige type of runningback but from a no name school. And I'm personally okay with that at the running back position. Don't know his draft position, but I wouldn't mind getting a guy like this late.
Tell me what u guys think and what u've heard about him.

Kory Sheets looked like Barry Sanders in his college highlight reel. We know how that turned out for him.

I think that he gets drafted, but no just me. If he is there in the fourth, I think we should take.
Rob Rang and company have him ranked as the 108th Player in the draft.

NFL Draft 101 has him going in the fourth

USA today has Taiwan Jones going in the 3rd to 4th .

The above ranking were before his work out--before he ran 4.28 to 4.33 in the 40.
JB Scouting had this to say after his work out.

Eastern Washington RB Taiwan Jones was questioned why he would come out early despite having back to back All-America seasons while only playing running back for two seasons. He might have quieted all the skeptics today at his private workout.
According to sources, Jones measured in at 6'0, 196 pounds, and posted times in the 4.25-4.37 range on clocks in the 40-yard dash. He had a 41 1/2 inch vertical but they said he shuffled so they only gave him 39 1/2. He also had a 11'0 broad jump, 4.05 short shuttle, and 6.6 3-cone.
25-27 NFL teams attended the workout. Mid-late round picks don't attract 27 teams by themselves. It would shock us if he lasts to the 4th round or even to the late third at this point.

What's not to like from the highlights?! His knee action is not Craig's but his upright style is. Trouble with judging from film is that his competition was not as quick or fast as the NFL will be so those jukes may not work. Fast and worth a late round gamble though.
Edit: Thanks Buck! I posted before your post was up so...saw him listed as a 5th rounder.

Love the highlights...plus he has good size and speed. Dude really seems to be moving up draft boards. I hope we use a mid-round pick on him.

I would love to draft him in the 3rd round, if the 9ers can address one primary need in FA (QB or CB) and the other 2 needs in the draft (OLB, CB, QB) the get Fua in the 4th.

projected high second. We have much higher needs than RB. I'm sure we'll draft one later though.

We totally need a quick ass RB like him. But I think our 2nd round pick will be used on a QB.
