Josh Morgan - I don't think we can trade him. Even though the past two seasons he has been somewhat of a disappointment I'm not sure we are going to be able to find anything better for him, nor do I think we would get more than a 6th rounder for him. I say keep him he has too much up side.
Kellen Clemens/Dennis Dixon - If we pick either of them up I say we are in a worse situation than the Smith Conundrum we just had. Neither of them are the solution or an answer unless we want to go even further downhill.
Westbrook - He can go either way, but I see no way he signs with us. He wants more time and he isn't going to get it. Remember he is one hit to the head from being completely done.
Takeo Spikes - One more year to help teach Navarro Brown and then we have no more use for him. Brown is going to be a stud.
Laboy or Lawson - It is going to have to be one or the other. Both played well enough someone is going to give them a ridiculous contract. We will only be able to afford one.
Franklin - If he can get himself into camp on time and deal with working through a franchise tag to get a deal than lets keep him. If he can't, let RJF get his turn.
Our main needs are a QB and Secondary. If we can solve these riddles through Free Agency and the Draft we should be pretty good for years to come. Of course this is a lot easier said than done, because we haven't done this in years.
Sorry for the double post -- Thanks for the input, I did go a little crazy with it. Bowman will be a beast when he gets on the full starting gig in 2 years.
I agree but there is always the chance that the Redskins don't let McNabb go but with how poor he played under Shanahan's schemes and how badly they handled his play by benching him so his trade value has plummeted. After that we really don't have a lot of options at the QB spot other then Bulger, Collins, and Hasselbeck no one is a real experienced player. Volek has expressed the desire to stay in SD even though he wants to start. If we wanted Seneca Wallace we might as well keep Troy. Hell the best player on the list after that is Dew Stanton. Not exactly the best choices if we can't land Bulger or Collins.
I am also okay with keeping Morgan I just went with the idea of him being the most expendable WR on our roster.
It's a no brainer that Westbrook or Gore will be gone next season, logic dictates Westbrook but Gore does have trade value and it wouldn't surprise me if we tried to move him and resign Westbrook for dirt cheap again.
If I'm not mistaken I said Takeo stays put so I don't know why you pointed it out that Bowman needs another year, maybe I did it different but I dunno.
Yea it'll be one or the other in Lawson or LaBoy and it will probably be LaBoy getting the contract because Lewis might find big money, which is why I have us taking a LB in the draft.
With Franklin I took the approach you said, he already got franchised and we haven't reached a new deal with him yet so it looks pretty clear he is on the outs, again that is why I have us taking another NT. A few years RJF's junior and RJF can take the starting role while we groom another rookie.

We already have ten. How many rookies even make the team? I'd rather trade some of those late rounders and package them with other picks or players.
No way 10 rookies make the team, and even if they do, I doubt the ones in the later rounds make an early impact.
Who says that our late round picks don't make the team? All of our draft picks from last year made the final roster. Also so what you play the percentage game, if you have 10 picks and 8 make the roster that is a pretty good shot, especially considering that 2 of the 3 picks I had us acquiring came in the 2nd and 4th round and if those players don't make the final roster that usually means the GM completely screwed up.
