I'm starting to lean towards the plan of getting at ELITE defensive player at 7 (Miller, Peterson, Amukamara) and then getting a QB with the 2nd rd pick.

My reasoning is that the gap between the elite def. positions of need for the 49ers (OLB and CB), and the 2nd tier defensive players is larger than the gap between Gabbert/Newton/Locker and Ponder/Dalton/Kaep.

In simpler terms, I rather get a combo of Peterson and Dalton/Kaepernick than say Gabbert and Jabaal Sheard
