Salas is RAW. Yea he was playin against JV coverage, but I like him in the slot. I like Stanzi as a project QB too. Has nice touch and throws well on the run, made it look easy against Big 10 defenses. And he out-gunned Gabbert, Ha!

I would love it if we drafted Greg Salas (WR, Hawaii). Big, tough, physical, smart receiver we desperately need.

With Hasselbeck, Stanzi and Moore we could very well be set for the year at least. Our QB of the future could possibly come next year. I think 2012 would be a pretty good class to find one.
Andrew Luck
Matt Barkley
Kirk Cousins
Ryan Lindley -
Nick Foles - Not a fan at all.
Landry Jones
Great point! I guess we'll find out if Harbaugh believes in one of the QB's this year, because if he does were certainly won't be waiting that long to draft one.

Re-sign Manny and Baas. They are productive players who are overly maligned on the WZ IMO. For the right price they are both worth having. I'm not saying any price. But you can do worse than those guys for sure. At times on this team we have had worse.

Released/Not re-signed
1. Alex Smith - Leaves via free agency, does not want to re-sign
2. Manny Lawson - Leaves via free agency - Jeremy Beal is much better pass rusher
3. Takeo Spikes - I gave my reason why I don't wanna re-sign
4. Demetric Evans - bench players easily replaced
5. Dashon Goldson - Richard Marshall is much more of an upgrade
6. David Baas - free agent, besides, Heitmann is a much better fit for the WCO
7. David Carr - sucks
8. Aubrayo Franklin - wants to test market no bidding war here, Soliai is much better
9. Tony Wragge - replaced by two rookies
10. Moran Norris - Ahmad Hall takes his spot
11. Kyle Williams - three players capable of returning kicks on team = expendable
12. Dominique Zeigler - replaced by Hankerson and Salas

I agree with most of what you have here. I think they might have to resign Baas for depth. Not sure exactly what they should do with Franklin. If he tests the market looking for a big pay day then I think his age will set him back from getting a huge long term deal. But I think another team could over pay for him. Maybe see if they can give him a 2 year contract. I'm not sold on a rookie and RJf coming in and holding down the NT. and I'm for TKO but wouldn't be down if he's gone.
And I think if you want Beal you will need to take him in the 2nd instead on Hankerson.

Thanks. But I think Dan Wenger could hold his own if he had to start. Although I think Wenger is much better as a pass-blocker than in run-blocking. But come to think of it, I don't remember the last time a rookie center started for us, maybe I do need to sign a vet.
As for NT position, I've signed Paul Poliai NT from the Phins to come in and replace Franklin. The big 6'4" 344 pounder is a true two-gap NT. I don't know how much Miami values him, but hes a free agent and I signed him.
I actually thought about changing the positions of Hankerson and Beal, but I went with the workout warrior in going in the 2nd round. Besides Beal would be drafted in the early 3rd, we've all seen good pass-rushers fall through the cracks in the draft, Cliff Avril and Charles Johnson come to mind.

if we could land peterson i could care less who we drafted rest of draft
hankerson 3rd or 4th catch in that video is what we desperately need on this team. not only was it a 1 handed grab but going across the middle knew he was going to get railed and still full extension. we do not have that on this team other than maybe vernon.

It's a really good outcome here. I am skeptical of those mid-round picks being available at those spots, but it's at least possible.

OK
Released/Not re-signed
1. Alex Smith
2. Manny Lawson why?
3. Takeo Spikes move on? why not keep him as a backup?
4. Demetric Evans
5. Dashon Goldson
6. David Baas why? he was drafted as a center and played this position very solid
7. David Carr
8. Aubrayo Franklin
9. Tony Wragge
10. Moran Norris
11. Kyle Williams at least, we could keep him til the last roster cut.
12. Dominique Zeigler
Free Agents
1. Ahmard Hall - FB
2. Matt Hasselbeck - QB
3. Matt Moore - QB no, thanks
4. Paul Soliai - NT
5. Kevin Burnett -ILB
6. Richard Marshall - CB/FS i dont understand why u dont get any WR in FA
2011 NFL Draft
1. Patrick Peterson - CB/KR/PR nice bpa there...
2. Leonard Hankerson - WR yes, we need another wr
3. Jeremy Beal - OLB/DE would be a steal there (according to cbs, he is a 2nd-rounder)...would fill a huge need...nice
4. Ricky Stanzi - QB stanzi in the 4th is absolutely ok, wouldnt even deny to switch with fua IF stanzi doesnt show anything special in the next weeks
4. Sione Fua - NT a samoa-mix? i love those guys, built like afro-americans but play like warriors all day long. very nice pick and would be a steal there.
5. James Carpenter - OG another huge steal and a need-filler. top
6. Greg Salas - WR bpa? if you really wanna cut kyle williams, you should consider a speedy gonzales in your draft like locke from kentucky.
6. Dan Wenger - C/OG why not
7. Mike Blanc DE d-liners are always needed
7. Robert Hughes - FB i would go for bpa, especially if we could grab a nice OT here. i think that you will always find a better FB than we had in norris in (undrafted) FA.

1. Panthers 2-14 .125 .574 - Nick Fairley - They been trying to find DT's for years
2. Broncos 4-12 .250 .516 - Marcell Dareus - Their front seven is horrible besides Dumerville
3. Bills 4-12 .250 .578 - Robert Quinn - No pass-rush, and Maybin seems like a bust
4. Bengals 4-12 .250 .582 - AJ Green or DaQuan Bowers
5. Cardinals 5-11 .313 .465 - Ryan Mallet or Adrian CLayborn or surprise pick Anthony Castonzo
6. Browns 5-11 .313 .570 - Now this could go either way Amukamara or Pat Peterson
7. 49ers 6-10 .375 .488 - Patrick Peterson
