Just too many other needs on defense(plus I think our receivers are plenty talented, they've just looked average at times due to mediocre qb's).
I'd even take prince over him, and I put prince after peterson, miller, quinn, ect.

I'd be down with taking AJ Green on the nonexistent chance he drops into our lap, but his talent could make him awesome trade-bait for another team. We could probably get a very favorable deal for him.

if both peterson and green are on the board i'll take peterson because not only is he an elite prospect but hes a huge need. but if peterson is gone and green falls to us i'll turn in the card to goodell before a second runs off the clock for green

Bengals are likely going to go with Green/Jones and then QB in the 2nd. Believe it or not, the Bengals don't have too many needs really.
WR, QB, OLB (They've got a good ILB in Maualuga and one OLB in Rivers), and an LT/LG and another RB.

i think bengals take a qb at 4 so green may be there but the browns would probably take him before us. i want peterson anyway, he fills a much bigger need for us

i disagree, i think green could go at 4 to the bengals, and if he was still there at 6 IMO the browns would take 2 seconds to turn in the card to draft him. I like green a lot but dont think theres any chance he is there at 7.

hell no, i hope we take green if hes available at 7
I think this actually wouldn't be a bad pick, but it would sure make crabtree upset...he wouldn't be the "star" anymore and couldn't demand all the big money or act like a diva.
I think we should take green, then get everyting else later...

browns have spent WR in 2nd round for past 2-3 years they have no body absoutly no one at DE and they have one of the worst d lines in the nfl they need d line

AJ Green is no Randy Moss watching his highlights. Not as fast and not as big. If both Peterson and AJ Green were on board, I want the Niners to pick Peterson.

I'm surprised Green hasnt gotten more attention. He's big, strong and looks like he could add to our WR core. NFL.com did a media draft and Mooch had us taking him at 7. Thoughts?

Our receiver corps needs reinforcement but not with #7. Way later. The DBs and the DL need it more, assuming we dont trade down. Or pass rush.

I don't love the idea ...but definitely don't hate it either.

AJ Green would be great @ 7 IF Patrick Peterson and Von Miller are gone but do we really need AJ more than we need Prince in this scenario? It all comes down to what our front office values as the deeper class between CBs and WRs.
