Asuming we get Jim Harbough who does the Zone like more:
I think Kolb would be cheaper exp with a bad showing on Sunday
To get Luck we could send: 7th overall and forth round and 1st next year
To get Kolb we could send: 2nd round pick this year, or 11' third and 12' 2nd

No doubt that this team needs a qb but I think a satisfactory qb would get the job done. There are more needs that need addressed in the draft and assuming we get kolb that cheap, it'd help out in the long run. We have enough offensive weapons to put points up with kolb. Besides, luck may not even pan out. Like most #1 overalls. The last thing this organization can afford is to "bet the farm" on an unproven rookie and strike out.

"Anyone that has a need at quarterback will be interested in Kevin Kolb, I promise you that. The issue is whether the Eagles would lower the price of two No. 1 picks that they asked for last season. And my guess is they don't. So if someone wants Kolb, they're going to have to pay through the nose to get him. Which is why I think Kolb and Vick both will return to Philadelphia next season."

Kolb is the safer choice. He has proven that he can play in this league. Luck is great potential, but thats the only thing we can go by at this point.
Also, if you want to win NOW, Kolb is the better option.

If we get Harbaugh (WCO), then Kolb would be a sexy pick, but I doubt Harbaugh would prefer such (over drafting a Pat Devlin/Ricky Stanzi type in the 3rd round).
I still see Kolb going wherever Marty Mornhinweg goes (if he gets a HCing gig).

Luck easily.
He is going to be a Superstar in this league. I have no doubts. Kolb might get us more wins in year 1 and year 2 but Luck is easily the better long term answer.

yes but you need to look at the entire team as a whole,
we desperatley need a lockdown CB and could probably get one in the first becuase Kolb value has dropped a bit and no way he is worth a first

Is this a trick question?
Kevin Kolb is an average QB and doesn't deserve more than a 3rd round pick.
I would pretty much trade away 2 drafts for Luck who is a once in a decade type of talent at QB.

I'll gladly give up this years first and 2012's first to move up and get Luck. If not, I'll still be happy if we can get Patrick Peterson at 7.

I doubt you get Luck for giving up just an additional 4th this year (along with your first) and a 1st next year. It will cost much more than that. As for Kolb... I seriously doubt Philly trades him for anything less than a first rounder. Bottom line.. to get either you have to give up more.

Luck is top priority, no doubt about that. I might consider trading first round picks with the Eagles for Kolb. If they end up going to the Superbowl, I would take Kolb, trade firsts, and their second.
Andy Reid is asking for a ton though, so I doubt anything happens with Kolb that does not have a major benefit to the Eagles.

1st overall = 3,000 points.
#7 = 1,500
2nd round = 510
#17 (1st round next year) = 950
That is a lot of quality players to give up for a team that still has more needs than just a QB. Better be very sure Luck is everything some think.

Luck + Harbaugh + Lombardi = SUPER BOWL.
