The 2011 NFL Draft season has officially begun!

Team Wins Loss
1.Carolina Panthers 2 13
2.Cincinnati Bengals 4 11
3. Denver Broncos 4 11
4. Buffalo Bills 4 11
5. Detroit Lions 5 10
6. Cleveland Browns 5 10
7. Houston Texans 5 10
8. Dallas Cowboys 5 10
9. Minnesota Vikings 5 9
10. San Francisco 49ers 5 10
11. Arizona Cardinals 5 10
12. Washington Redskins 6 9
13. Tennessee Titans 6 9
14. Seattle Seahawks 6 9

Detroit plays Minnesota, so automatically, barring a tie, one of those teams will be 6-10, and should have a worse strength of schedule.

Worst case scenario, even if we win, every team in the bottom 14 loses (except Minnesota/Detroit obviously), and we lose the strength of schedule tiebreaker (not likely in NFC West), we will pick at 14. Best case we could pick number 2. To have a realistic shot at making a play for Luck we would need to be picking well into the top 10 (no lower than 7). There will be an elite player anywhere in the top 10 range so its hard to go wrong in this spot.

Here's a look of players that should go top 15, its nice knowing that we will be guaranteed a shot at one of these guys.

QB
Andrew Luck
Ryan Mallet
Cam Newton
Jake Locker

CB
Patrick Peterson
Prince Amukamara

DL
Da'Quan Bowers
Nick Fairley
Marcell Dareus

OLB
Robert Quinn

WR
AJ Green

Ryan Mallet not behind that line
Cam Newton no
Jake Locker not with our first-round pick

CB
Patrick Peterson i'd rather go for a d-liner
Prince Amukamara no, if we end up in the top5

DL
Da'Quan Bowers ok
Nick Fairley ok
Marcell Dareus ok

OLB
Robert Quinn too high for a linebacker imo

WR
AJ Green too many needs for another luxury pick...we saw today that a crabs can do something even with troy under center

If he declares, I don't think there's any way that Carolina passes on them.

Carolina has a LOT of holes to fill and would really benefit from trading down and acquiring more picks. If we're picking top 6 it not out of the realm of possibility for us to be able trade up and get him. Plus they may be more inclined to pick up a veteran QB Mcnabb/Palmer ect and try to develop Clausen while they continue to rebuild.
seems like a lot of teams suck this season, didn't we have the 13th pick last year with an 8-8 record?

if cincy, bills and denver win, we could end up 2nd and should end up 3rd. a trade with the panthers for luck without trading the whole farm would be realistic.

Who are they playing?

Jets are locked at the #6 spot, so they will treat next week as a mini-bye. That could work in our favor. Baltimore will try to win since they are still battling for a bye.

Would love to get into the top 2 or 3, but knowing how this team works, we'll blowout Arizona next week when losing is really the best thing for the team.

You're right, it looks like the Jets are taking a qausi-bye week next week:

You know Arizona zoners are having this same conversation, saying they must loose so they will have a shot at Luck also.

Our team is really good at winning when it doesn't matter.
