If he declares, I don't think there's any way that Carolina passes on them.

I couldn't agree more, he seems to have it all and with the right type of coaching will turn out to be a great QB for along time.

Harbaugh becomes an important piece of the puzzle in this case. If he is our HC I can see us trading up for him/Luck pulling an Eli/Elway.

I seriously think we make a run at Harbaugh in hopes of luring Andrew Luck. Maybe he'll pull an Elway/Eli

There's already been a report that his father has indicated that they would have a decision in where he landed, ala Eli....

Interesting....maybe we have a better shot than everyone is anticipating

You think they will draft a QB in the first round two years in a row?

Clausen was a 2nd rounder.

u guys have bad taste

i bet u guys had Smith over Rodgers back in 05' huh?

Acually yeah but I was 12 so.....

This thread doesn't ask who I would want to draft, but who I think they will. If possible (and hoping things work out next week to better our draft position) I'm hoping for the 9ers to trade up from the #2 spot to take Luck if he declares, but that seems unlikely. Trading down a few picks to take Prince l;kashdlskh or A.J Green seems smart.

and a new coach probably won't give a damn about Clausen

Denver

I think this is how it will break out, if we get the 4-11 teams to win (Buffalo, Denver and Cincinnati and we lose to Arizona then we could pick #2 if strength of schedule is in our favor).

*I don't think we will end up with the weakest strength of schedule. Best is 3rd or 4th I think. It is so close all the games this week and next week will change the standings around.

Well, even if Denver wins and we lose, I think since we beat the Broncos, won't they pick ahead of us? Just wondering.
What happens if Luck stays in school?

Discuss.....

Yes sir, we are 5-10 now.

If the season ended now here are the records, I'm not sure the details on who would pick where.

1. Carolina 2-13 Needs a QB
2. Cincinnati 3-11 Needs a QB if Carson walks
3. Denver 3-11 - Orton/Tebow
4. Buffalo 4-11 Might go QB
5. Arizona 5-10 Needs a QB
6. Detroit 5-10 - Stafford
7. Dallas 5-10 - Romo
8. Cleveland 5-10 - Colt McCoy?
9. San Francisco 5-10 Needs a QB
10. Houston 5-9 - Schaub
11. Minnesota 5-9 Needs a QB
12. Tennessee 6-9 Needs a QB if Jeff Fisher remains coach
13. Washington 6-9 Needs a QB

Just keeping things in perspective.

So if we lose to zona next week, we would have the worst record in the west?

Yup and we could get the 4th or 5th pick in the draft because of the strength of schedule. So we absolutely have to lose next week

not trippin a loss in a lost year doesnt hurt. we losxe one now to beat all their asses next year with all our shiny new toys
should be the following order (bases on SOS):
1. Carolina 2-13
2. Denver 4-11 (.507)
3. Cincinnati 4-11 (.570)
4. Buffalo 4-11 (.576)
5. Arizona 5-10 (.464)
6. San Franciscos 5-10 (.505)
7. Dallas 5-10 (.509)
8. Houston 5-10 (.527)
9. Detroit 5-10 (.561)
10. Cleveland 5-10 (.565)
11. Minnesota 5-9
12. Tennessee 6-9
13. Washington 6-9

if cincy, bills and denver win, we could end up 2nd and should end up 3rd. a trade with the panthers for luck without trading the whole farm would be realistic.
