Kentawn Balmer over DeSean Jackson, Ray Rice, or Kenny Phillips
Chilo Rachal over the first two mentioned above
Joe Staley for the #7 pick in the draft
Glen Coffee
Cody Wallace
Traded A 5th for Ted Ginn when it could have been Santonio Holmes. (we had a Higher Pick than the Jets and in the other conference)
I think Nolan might have been a better talent evaluator minus Smith over Rodgers
Sincerely,
FK the Yorks

Scot McCloughan resigned March 19th, 2010. (Source)
Ted Ginn Jr. acquired April 16th, 2010. (Source)
We can also play this game with Bill Walsh (or any General Manager), if you'd like.
Selected Reggie McGrew over Patrick Kerney, Jon Jansen or Joey Porter.
Traded up for Ahmed Plummer, losing future picks in 2001.
Giovanni Carmazzi
Jason Webster
Jamie Winborn
Kevan Barlow
And we can go back to when Walsh was the Head Coach ('79 - '88).
Selected James Owens over Dan Ross, Fred Smerlas and Mark Gastineau.
Earl Cooper
Jim Stuckey
Craig Puki
John Harty
Blanchard Montgomery
Todd Shell
Ricky Moore
Terrence Flagler
Jeff Bregel
Keith Delong
Keith Henderson
I could keep going, but I need to take lunch.
Let me know if you want me to name more.

For Bill Walsh's Great Equalizer He was able to Identify HOF QB's, which is the hardest thing to do so he was given a free pass sometimes.......what you said about Carmazzi, that was an absolute lie. Walsh wanted TOM BRADY instead of CARMAZZI but Donahue and Mooch wanted Carmazzi....Mooch admitted this. Just Imagine if we had listened to BW in his last years

I haven't ever heard this. Walsh was the GM and he had final say over the draft and personnel decisions.
Get me a source and then come at me.

17th paragraph
Mariucci isn't quoted as having selected Carmazzi. The passage states that neither wanted to take the blame for the pick.
Try again.

Some of that was Nolan too. I think people forget that for awhile there Nolan had first say on what was going on.

that 5th round pick trade for Ginn was a great trade
and Holmes went for a 4th round pick which we didnt have.. not a 5th round pick
Plus that was Baalkes move anyways

We all know that Mariucci wanted Carmazzi no matter what any article says.
