I don't think Ponder is going to end up as a top ten pick. But I would love for the Niners to end up with the corner from Nebraska. Corner should be our top priority heading into next offseason.

thank you for the reply. I would love this draft to fall this way of course the great thing about the process, is alot of players wont be anywhere near where they are projected now come april 2011.
Now, Ponder, im torn on, he might be the real deal, or just another QB who doesnt pan out.
If we could get Amukamara in rd 1. then in rd 2, realisticaly i wouldnt mind a trade up for say Michael Floyd WR ND.
Even though I can see Floyd as top 20 pick, he might fall ala Golden Tate, and with this being a 1st yr in Brian Kelly's offense he might have a rough time.

Like the pick... I think CB will be our #1 need going into next year. Not sure if Clements will be around for another year or 2 and don't think Brown is ready to be a #2 if Spencer goes to 1.

Its a big IF as of now....IF he plays very well he may sneak in because Arizona would need a QB ASAP, this is assuming both Leinart and Anderson are gone. Ponder will be interesting to watch this year and should be the 4th QB off the board if all goes to plan. If the QB situation goes to s**t in AZ they will have to address it before anything else, could be a FA but I think they draft a kid. High for him yes, but its to early to call it bulls**t.

Cutting or trading Nate will save a lot of $$$ as well, $$$ that could be used to retain Goldson.

Like Justin said, by cutting or trading Nate Clements, we save some good money, which could be used to get a Goldson and Lawson signed.
As much as I like and am a Clements fan, I would rather keep young guys like Lawson and Goldson around.
it would be like, taking 1 good player, and turning it into 2 good players.

Fully agree. If it is between Nate or Lawson and Goldson I hope they would take them.

Honestly what kills this mock for me is only 2 OL going in the first 20. One of which is an OG/C at 19.
If recent history has told us anything is that OL especially OT is the most over valued position in football apart from maybe QB.
I bet there are at least three OL (probably all OTs) gone in the first 15. Heck I wouldn't be shocked if 5 of the first 20 picks are OL.
Other than that it looks ok. Don't really see a WR going #2 overall, as IMO Crabtree was a much better prospect than Green before the ankle injury causing him to miss workouts.
Since WR seems to be a heavy bust position I just don't see teams willing to drop the #2 pick on a WR unless he is just far and away the best player available. St. Louis should be able to get a nice WR with their second rounder or package their second and third to move up in the mid 20s to grab a quality prospect. No need to blow that high of a pick.

thats about right this is the weakest class possibly ever for OL only 2 first round talent that guy who who is going to the lions that is a top 10 pick and pouncy a C/G who will go in the 1st round
of course this is as of now a lot can change in 1 year

It's a little silly to do this so early, and people will be sure to tell you so -- sometimes in not-so-friendly ways.

The DB from Nebraska is going in the top ten.
