2010 Draft Picks Signing Status

Is the CBA the primary reason for the delay in the first round picks signing?

Also, do you know the main issue holding up a new CBA? Is it that the owners want more games?

Do you think something will get done before the start of the season?

1. Yes the CBA is the primary hold up, with the signings, mainly cause of the language of option bonuses.

2. Main issue is how to divy up the money between players and owners.

3. I dont know for sure, but i dont see anything yet, maybe mid season.

Adam Shefter: Texans have reached an agreement on a five-year contract with CB Kareem Jackson, their first-round pick from Alabama.
Saints sign Patrick Robinson

Saints VP of communication Greg Bensel announced late Thursday night that cornerback Patrick Robinson agreed to terms on a five-year contract.

The Florida State product arrives in New Orleans Friday morning, which means he could get to the team facility and sign his contract in time to make an appearance at the team's morning practice. Robinson was selected with the final pick in the first round of the draft.

Once a running joke for the franchise, the Saints secondary has developed into a strength. Robinson has strong man-to-man skills and will battle for snaps behind starters Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter.

Bryan Bulaga has signed. It will interesting to compare the career paths of him and Davis (considering there were "rumors" that Bulaga was the 9ers guy at #13).

That makes no sense if he was there guy then why would they trade up for Davis instead of just waiting @ 13 for Bulaga. On top of that if he was their guy why not trade up to 11 to get him. I wouldn't believe whereever you heard that from.

That's why he put "rumors".

Bulaga was pretty much black-listed from the top 20 for the most part due to his small arms/staggering run-protection skills. What you see is what you get, he's a late-round talent that would probably flourish (physically) within a WCO (which is where he ended up going to in Green Bay).
