He looks like a long striding runner in the highlights. Can he make cuts or set up his blocks effectively? Another reclamation project for Coach Sing.

I think he has a fighting chance to make this team! Can we bring Kevin Gogan back? He would run 20 yards after a play just on the possibility that there might be a fight.

I like this pick honestly....and i know the reason he signed here is because he knows Sing will keep him in check. If he cant change his ways playing for Sing then this kids career is going nowhere. At least coming to the 49ers he will have a chance to develop and mature with Sing showing him the way. He is WAY to talented to have gone undrafted...he fixes his attitude i see him being a solid player in this league
Go Niners! Great Draft!

Honestly, I like Blount slightly better than Dixon. I think he just has better vision as a ballcarrier, and a certain nastiness and power about him that makes me excited. It should be a good competition between him, Dixon and Coffee.

I agree- I think it will be interesting to see who sticks between Coffee, Dixon, and Blount. Maybe we can keep 2/3 for the year since we still don't have a shifty back as well.

How much do these UDFA's get paid? Is there some type of standard compensation? Anybody know? Thanks.

Usually it's at or near league minimum.

sc fan here. i watched this kid bulldoze over our lb's. the kid has some strength and power. still think he's a b* for punching that dude. only reason why i say that is when you're gonna fight, make sure the other dude is down . . . makes it a better "fight"

Isn't it true that if he came out after his Junior year, he would have been a high pick?

He could probably have been a 3rd or 4th round pick last year. That one punch probably lowered his lifetime aggregate net worth by several million dollars, though it's hard to say in which round he'd have been drafted this year if not for that one wrong turn and he'd played a full season.

Dixon vs. Blount = Coffee vs. Sheets part II.
