Evaluating the Trades

The Draft Value Chart is just a tool, but most teams use it. I've broken down each trade by their point equivalents. The obvious trend was that teams trading up got a better deal. Most deals were pretty even except for the Chargers trade.

What that tells me is that teams feel this class is extremely deep and that 2nd rounders are almost as valuable as late #1s. Tomorrow, expect teams to pay a premium to trade up in the 2nd round.

The 49ers saved a mid 5th rounder.

The Chargers saved a late 3rd or early 4th!

Eagles saved a late 6th early 7th

Broncos saved a late 5th/early 6th

Patriots saves an early 6th
