I could watch that all day. ALL day....and it's draft day.
He won't be a bust, he's just gonna be another semi-mediocre CB (like hundreds of others from now and then) who was drafted far too high in the first round.
Yeah watching the highlights shows that this guy benefited greatly from being part of a stellar D. Furthermore, a number of his picks came on plays where I could have made the INT.

In NOO WAY worth a number 13 pick, Niners best look elsewhere and draft an OL or better secondary prospect than Haden with that pick.
BUMPin uglies

I agree. Too much of a Clements clone and we don't need anymore of him getting burned.

Eric Davis knows better than any of us....HE DOESN'T HAVE THE QUICK TWITCH needed to be a shut down CB and you can see it.

Earl Thomas or Kyle Wilson is the best choice for us. PURE ballhawks!!!

lol But how do you know Eric Davis has watched much of Haden??? Dude shut down Gilyard, AJ Green, Julio Jones, LaFell, etc. He was lock down this year. If our scouts like him that's enough for me.

I dont know...but as an analyst for us I think that is HIS JOB to look at talent, especially during this time. Any monkey knows that he played CB in this league and if anyone that can evaluate a CB....its him. Those WR arent a Fitz, Crabtree, or Dez Bryant. Quicker comp in the NFL for sure.

it was funnier in the original thread i posted it in, entitled....

if Joe Haden is a bust, what would your reaction be

but the merge makes it not as funny .

um pretty sure our scouts did their homework. they will know if or not to pick him up.

Niner scouts also did their homework on Mike Rumpf who had not given up a touchdown in his last two years at U of Miami

I'm just saying he isn't worth more than a mid-20 pick, taking him at the #13 spot sounds a little 'over the top'.

Joe Haden just won DROM for November....and Rob Ryan on Haden :

Quote:
"Joe could start any day," said Ryan. "We're just going to line him up and play him. Whether he starts or gets his name called when they announce it, that's another thing. Is the guy good enough to start? [Heck] yes. He's good enough to start for any team in the league, including ours."

Haden is awesome. I love his aggressiveness against the run.
Haden is awesome too bad we couldnt of drafted him, such an athlete. His little brothers should be coming along soon too

That would have been a good trick given that Haden was taken before we drafted.

What we should have done is taken Earl Thomas and then either Bulaga or Iupati with our 2nd rd pick. I still cant believe we passed on Thomas and let Seattle take him.

I still don't see Thomas becoming so great. With his size in the NFL, I see him becoming injury prone.
