For why?? Although Thomas at CB and Clements at S sounds pretty nice

Because Nate makes a buttload of money, has slowed down a little bit, and was injured last year. Spencer came back strong from his 08 injury and makes less and did a better job.
Anyone who thinks Thomas is the better pick for CB than Haden needs to look again...Joe is the top CB in the country..has good cover skills, recovers quickly, and is a willing and able tackler. He's the better pick over Thomas, any day of the week. If you look around the NFL, there aren't many successful UT graduates in the defensive backfields.

I think I'd agree. The name Terrell Brown comes to mind on UT graduates. I think the two premier CBs are Haden and Kyle Wilson. However, I'd be happy with Thomas, Berry (not gonna happen), Haden or Wilson in the 1st. However you look at it, we need to restock on defensive backfield. We have alot of "roster sitters" that we need upgrades for.

The spread offense is not going away anytime soon.

PS...I'll take Corey Chavous analysis over Eric Davis any day.
