No need, I am an idiot sometimes also. I wanted Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning, which is embarrasing to admit, but true. I also hated the Aldon Smith pick and love it now. So I am often wrong.

Simply put I am a huge fan of TE's and was thinking with more 3-4 defenses, multiple talented TE's can do well. I only re upped it because I read today that Gronkowski broke the TE single season record, so one of the few times I was right. Then again he has Brady throwing to him, but I still think he has better hands than anyone on the 9ers TE's.

i could see davis owning that record with brady throwing to him as well

gronk would have only tied the record at 14 if singletary wasn't such a turd

Davis would break that record with Brady throwing to him as well. He had 13 TD's and 965 yards with Alex Smith and a subpar O Line.... Imagine what he could do with Brady and that O Line.
Gronk>davis as a receiver no question.

Agreed. For all the work he does on the jugs machine, he still rarely catches with his hands
Tom Brady > Alex Smith

No question. Outside of Gonzalez in KC tight ends will only put up big numbers with a great quarterback.
Dude is a savage and he is only a kid

How about no, I don't wanna hear you out. We could stand to get better at WR but we don't need to waste any picks on a TE unless he is a late round blocking specialist and even then

I just want to re up this thread to show how BPA and having big TE's help with teams in the red zone. Gronkowski would have helped this team this year, he could have lined up at TE, double TE, or WR.

The people who did not want Gronkowski where dead wrong!!

I'll give credit where credit is due, unlike all of these haters. You called it and you're right. Even though a TE was not a need, you should always draft BPA.

Since you like TE's so much, who do you recommend coming out in this year's draft class?

Im sure if Vernon caught all the passes he's dropped this year he'd be putting up good stats.

He would have been even better with Hasselbeck throwing to him.

This just watch him play he has amazing hands great route running abaility, you can throw the ball any where towards him and he wil catch it and he is incredibly hard to tackle, he breaks so much tackles its ridiculous.

He is the best TE in the NFL imo.

He's also a lot better than vernon at a lot of things..
He was right. Gronkowski is balling right now. All those high throws Alex makes imagine Gronkowski just leaping over the smaller defender it would be unstoppable because the defense would have to account for VD and Crabs.
