2 OL in 1st?

anyone else like the idea of taking 2 OL in the 1st rd if possible?

Such as Trent Williams and Mike Iupati? We'd be set at OL for the next 10yrs...it would be the smartest move to help Alex Smith and Frank Gore and our running and passing games...it would also immensely help our defense as we would be able to control the clock.

Just watching the games last yr...the OL is a major weakness..Rachal might develop but Baas sucks...we suck at RT.

If we can get Trent Williams and Iupati and have an OL of

Staley, Iupati, Heitmann, Rachal, Williams....barring injury these guys can grow together and be a dominating OL.

The Jets employed this strategy a few years ago w/ Mangold and D'brick Ferguson and they are awesome now

If Wiliams is there at 13, we take him without thinking twice. But I think there's little chance he'll be there.
I like. Tired of having a poor O line. I will secrifice the superstars for one year to get the problem fixed.
This !!! Awesome scenario to finally address the OL !! Then speed and return specialist in rds 2-7 !
I would be all for Williams/Iupati in the 1st round. Look what drafting ferguson and mangold has done for the Jets. I think Haden would be too good to pass up though at 13.
I'd be happy with Williams and Iupati. I think Iupati is probably more important in that he is the only guard in the draft that can replace Baas or Rachal immediately. If Williams is not available, I'd be just as happy with Spiller if and only if the Niners obtain an OT in FA or in the 2nd round who will replace Snyder immediately.
MY WISH IS GRANTED!

not trent williams but solari/brown/singletary can get anthony davis into shape!

Nice! But I never actually believed they would do it! And had McCloughlan still been there I doubt we would have taken them both.
I LOVE our first two picks...once we develop our new lineman we will have one powerful offense

Me too. Look what it did for the Jets after taking Ferguson and Mangold in 06.
It'll never happen.

Ya. We'll probably draft Taylor Mays and Clausen with our two first round picks.

No way he would have taken Iupati in the first, at least not with the intention of using him as a guard.
