KR/PR LeRoy Vann, Florida A & M

Quote:
One league source told me Singletary dialed explosive return man LeRoy Vann of Florida A&M to speak with him on the phone. (National Football Post recently reported the same thing.) Vann is a 5-foot-8, 180-pounder who returned eight punts for touchdowns and added three scores on kickoff returns during his college career.

Vann was not invited to the combine, but he is attracting attention from NFL teams. Singletary is certainly doing his homework.

Singletary is Doing His Homework on Return Specialists

I have him in my mock draft! This guy is explosive, but what he does best it wait for his blocks. I would LOVE for us to draft him.
Looks pretty good, I'm glad Singletary is serious about our PR/KR issues.

Me too. What's great is he's going to watch these guys in person. Hopefully we can get Vann, and then another player early with return ability as well as a backup in case anything happens.
Watch the first video. He's a 49ers fan!

He waits for his blocks, but he doesn't dance around or go sideways.

I like him, I hope we take him.

who says we reach and select him in the 5th. i wouldn't be mad.
seriously, he is probably the best pure returner and that is exactly what we need. Does anyone know his 40 time? He would be a great upgrade and he could also have this position locked up for many years with the niners. We could also give him a carry or 2 or a screen a game to see what he could do. A 5th or 6th would be great for him

honestly i dont care what his 40 time is he is way too fast for anyone and he is a smart returner
Simply WOW!

Hope he becomes a 49er! Make it happen Coach!

McCough. is not afraid to take draft role players to early as he did with Pascoe last year. But a KR/PR is such a bigger need and more important to the game than a blocking TE. Vann looks like a game changer and you can never have too many of those.

Maybe he can really convince Mike to draft this guy or at least sign him as a undrafted free agent

i rather roll the dice with this kid then Pacman i honestly thought before i read the whole story on brining in Pacman, i thought they where going to try him at CB but if they want to try him at returner NO THANKS

just go with this flashy kid

plus like PT pointed out he was a 49ers fan you know we wants to don that red & gold!!
Can we get "em in the 5th round or is that to late...?
