After Careful Consideration.. Your Top 17

1) St Louis - Sam Bradford QB
The Rams simply cannot afford to pass on a franchise QB. Bradford has amazing accuracy and has bulked up to 235 pounds. He will be the pick

2) Detroit - Gerald McCoy DT
Tough call between McCoy and Suh but when its said and done they take the
better pass rusher and the more disruptive player

3) Tampa Bay Ndamokung Suh DT
TB is the happiest team in the league and run to the podium with the pick. He
is exactly what this team needs

4) Washington Jimmy Clausen QB
They will look to trade down but if they stay they will pick Claussen. I just dont
think Shanahan will want another QB other than his own.

5) Kansas City Russell Okung OT
Almost as much of a no brainer as Suh going to TB. Perfect fit for the Chiefs
and will start from Day 1 at LT

6) Seattle Eric Berry S
LT and QB may be bigger needs but Berry is too good to pass on here. Seattle
needs a playmaker at safety and Berry is the BPA at this spot

7) Cleveland Joe Haden CB
Haden is the BPA and a lock down corner. This fills a huge need for the
Browns and will be the pick. #1 corners are not easy to get and they will be
elated with this selection

8) Oakland Bruce Campbell OT
The first reach but Oakland has a history of that. Huge upside at a position of
need for the Raiders.

9) Buffalo Bills Anthony Davis OT
Will be a tough call between Davis and Bulaga but they will pick the guy who is
the better pass blocker and more natural LT.

10) Jacksonville Derrick Morgan DE
Some will want Pierre - Paul but Jax will take the better and more consistent
player. He immediatley will start on their line and give them a huge upgrade
at DE

11) Denver Broncos Dez Bryant WR
Another team that will run to the podium. Top talent that will become the #1 WR
for the Broncos and ease the eventual loss of Brandon Marshall

12) Miami Dolphins Rolando McClain LB
Huge need for Miami and McClain is a stud at ILB. Continues the theme of
perfect fits for teams drafting. He may be the Defensive Player of Yr for Miami

13) SF 49ers CJ Spiller RB
While Scott throws out smokescreens that they just want big backs I think
Spiller will be too good to pass on. THe Niners know they will get their OT
at #17 and take the most explosive player in the draft

14) Seattle - Brian Bulaga OT
Seattle takes a sigh of relief that the Niners dont take their LT .

15) NY Giants Dan Williams DT
NY couldnt stop the run. Williams is a stud run stopper. No brainer again.

16) Tennessee Jason Pierre-Paul DE
Would have loved Morgan but Pierre-Paul is the pass rusher that this team
needs. Huge need and while JPP is a one year wonder he is worth the risk.

17) SF 49ers Trent Williams OT
The right tackle this team needs. Williams could go at #13 but more likely
will be the pick at 17

There you go.. this WILL be the top 17... for now..

Has anyone actually watched tape on McClain? This guy is SLOW. He doesn't attack. He waits for players to be funneled into him.

No way he goes top 17.. heck i dont think 1st round is an option.

You are nuts. I would bet every single dollar I have that he goes in round 1 and I believe that he will go to Miami at #12.

I'll pretty much guarantee you that he definitely does go top 17. I don't know what you're watching but McClain is a sure thing.
lol at the guy about mcclain, he wont be the next willis, but he will pretty damn goood and i would not mind him in SF.

As for 12 i would not be surprised with Brandon Graham to MIAMI.
Good mock.

Graham is certainly an option there. I just think that ILB is a bigger need for them.

No such thing as a SURE THING in the NFL Draft. If you've actually taken the time to watch McClain, you'd notice that what i said is true. He DOES NOT attack. He sits and waits. He's no Beason, Willis, or even Curry. He lacks wow. Spikes stands a better chance at being drafted before McClain. I'm guessing a 4.8 40 time for him. Wouldn't be shocked if he pulled out so that it doesn't expose him.

agreed, they have a bunch of needs, DE, OLB, ILB, etc...
Spiller + Trent Williams + a strong safety in the 2nd =
No major arguments from me on this top 17. Nice work!
Don't the Giants need an OT too? I may not be sure, but maybe Trent Williams doesn't slip that far. I rather have him than Spiller at 13

I agree with you. Its hard to tell if hes that slooowwwww though. He seems like he plays sideline to sideline good enough for Alabama, but in another thread, I state how I dont think he'll have that much of an impact in the pros.
McCoy will not go before Suh. This talk about him being the better pass rusher is nonsense. That's just some Mayock is trying to feed people to justify his rankings.

McCoy has 14 career sacks (in 3 years). Suh had 12 sacks last year alone, despite facing double teams on a regular basis.
No way in Hell Williams makes it to 17. The guy might not even make it out of 10.
