Source/Rumor: Brandon Banks

Never been a fan of drafting a player specifically to return punts or kicks...I think he looked decent on that highlight tape but I'd rather get a guy who can contribute on offense as well b/c the days of specialists are over.

The really good PR/KR are too good to not be on the field. Guys like Desean Jackson, Josh Cribbs, Devin Hester, and Percy Harvin are also major contributors on offense b/c if you're a good return man, chances are the team wants to get you the ball as much as possible.

If he doesn't break in half at some point, I think it might be an advantage.

In the video, it looks like the defenders are trying to tackle a floating piece of confetti. Just as they get close, the wind pushes him farther away.

Talented special teamers get drafted, even with character problems. There is always one girl that selects the bad boy they think they can reform. Usually, they get burned. But, it never stops them from trying. They can't help it.

Rumors are just that...rumors. I see a lot of value in Spillers...initially he might be used mostly as a KR, but he'd also add much-needed speed to the backfield. Gore's still the man...for now, but, the hits take their toll, and it surely wouldn't hurt to share the carries, especially with a guy who's got the ability to take it to the house. If not Spiller, then there are plenty of other position players who could improve our KR game.

Out of curiosity... how did your friend land the internship? I've been applying every year for the past 4 years and haven't gotten a single one through the 49ers... I graduated with honors from a top ten nationally ranked college, played football throughout, even worked for the 49ers as an assistant before... yet still, no luck... any info would be much appreciated...
