Boomer, let's look at the current list of the NFL dirtiest players as compiled by the Sporting News:

Here’s the top five:

1. Richie Incognito, RG, Rams

2. Hines Ward, WR, Steelers

3. Kevin Mawae, C, Jets

4. Harvey Dahl, G, Falcons

5. (t) Darnell Dockett, DT, Cardinals

How many times have any of these guys been suspended? The Niners don't have anyone on their roster that other teams consider dirty or nasty IMO. That "edge" along with some talent would be a welcome addition to this team in the future.

Being a dirty player isn't what we're talking about. You don't have to have bad character to "Play dirty"

Tank Johnson, Antonio Bryant, Dante Stallworth, Mike Vick, Pacman Jones.............These are the guys we're talking about.

Well two guys on that list have helped their teams get marginally better in the last two years. Bryant finally toned his ace down and led the Bucs in receiving last year. Tank Johnson has found a home and is making a solid contribution to a rising Bengals team.

Our own Tarell Brown had questionable character coming out of Texas and he seems to be doing just fine for us right now. I think the Niners should consider taking the risk on guys with some character concerns if they can make it happen on the field on Sundays. This team needs more talent to finally turn it around.
