With the .. pick in the 2010 draft, the San Francisco 49ers select..

While we are a team that is right around the corner, and ready to peak, we have only a few holes to fill. We are NOT a team that is rebuilding so I wont go QB. We have Haralson and Lawson who are decent OLB, but we do need a pass rusher. Goldson has done a good job, maybe not a superstar, but hes been solid. Our Oline has been struggling and definitely our weakest link who is bringing us down..

RD 1, pick 1- offensive tackle- we need someone to compliment Staley and play RT, that would solidify us on the ends.
RD 1, pick 2- pass rusher- depending who is on the board here of couse, i say we get a pass rusher that will replace Haralson. Lawson has speed and is good in coverage and against the run.
RD 2 - Offensive line- we need to find a Guard that can maul and help us out on the o line.

I am with you, OL has to be a priority! We also need to really think about using a mid/high pick on a return man that can also be a speed threat for our offense.

I also really think we need to draft for our secondary...i like T Brown, but spencer is injury prone, bly is old, walt is done, clements remains a question mark due to his contract/ability. I do really like clements, just not in prevent formation
We will have two first round picks. One will be RT and the other will be a pass rusher IF available OR a safety.

..the BPA off the board. You play the draft board and the phones to your advantage. You don't decide that in X round you will select X position, you don't reach unless the player that is deemed a reach grades out higher on your board than any of the fans or experts. It's fine to hope we can fill needs like the OL in round 1 but that will all depend on how things shake out and there is no guarantee that it will work to our favor.

Hopefully we selct an OT, followed by a OG or pass rusher.

At this point it looks like we will have 2 picks between 12 - 20.

I am concered about Carolina's improved play, it is costing us draft position. The Panthers record is now the same as ours. So we can forget about getting

Suh
McCoy
Okung
Berry
Clausen
Locker
Bradford.

We should still be able to address our biggest needs without reaching.

Agree with BPA on our board at the time.

No QB. Either CJ Spiller or a RT for me.

Well, it's never absolute. Kickers, for example, unless you are the Raiders. And I can't see us taking a tight end.
