2010 NFL Draft Order - Final

I've got big concerns over our draft selections, as they are heading more to the middle of the first round with each passing week. Thank God this is the end of the season, because it looks like the Panthers can beat nearly anyone in the league right now.

I hate the Vikings, but still pulled for them big time last night. Why?

The Bears loss could be another setback for the draft, as it makes the Saints-Panthers game meaningless. The Vikings' loss last night automatically hands home field advantage to the Saints throughout the playoffs, and since their game will no have impact on any other playoff team, I expect the Saints to play backups throughout the game.

The Panthers-Saints game will be in Carolina, and I expect the Panthers to win, which would push their record to 8-8. Nearly as important, the Panthers will have played a tougher schedule than every 8-8 team, except possibly one other. Which means the Panthers' selection, which the Niners possess, is going to be well down the draft board.

So, Niners' fans have got to pull hard for all the 8-7 teams to pull off big wins the week, in order to preven these teams from having the same 8-8 record as the Panthers, and our team from selecting in the range of 20th overall (with the Panthers' pick).

More and more, I expect the Niners' two selections to be in the 14th and 17th overall area, which is a pretty big dropoff in talent from the top dozen players, especially in positions of need.

Here are the other teams with 8-7 records and their strength of schedules:

16 Pittsburgh 8-7 .479
17 Atlanta 8-7 .508
18 Houston 8-7 .517
19 Baltimore 8-7 .521
20 New York Jets 8-7 .525
21 Seattle (from Denver) 8-7 .529
22 New York Giants 8-7 .542

All of the teams in bold have their playoff aspirations tied to winning their game next week. Let's hope they all come through.

Ok...so Basically i am rooting for the Steelers, Titans, Jaguars and the Saints this week....so then we would have the 11 and 12 pick....i can live with that :D

No word out of New Orleans yet on how they are going to approach the Carolina game yet. Lets hope their current losing streak makes them go fully loaded to get some momentum for the playoffs!

Steve Smith is out with the busted arm so the Saints should be able to focus on stopping the Carolina ground game.

No kidding...

Freeney, Ware, Willis
Carolina wont win this game. Who are they going to throw the ball to? Steve Smith is out with a broken forearm. They lose and lose big! Load up the box and force them to pass is all.

That's the thing, they've been doing it with Stewart and without Williams running the ball. They need to key on Stewart to win this game. I read an article saying that Carolina wants to win this game so they don't go on a 3 game losing streak heading into the playoffs. So they should come to play and play their starters at least 3 quarters, hopefully when they come out they'll have a nice lead.

We will be picking somewhere around 13-18 with both of our picks. Not bad, i mean we still get good players plus we don't have to pay them as much.

I really want that 10th pick so we can get one of the better OT's. So, you can bet I'll be rooting for the Rams and Bears to win.
