I wouldn't be too sure about that. The average running back is good for 5 years. Frank will hit that next year and he has taken a beating ever since Norv left. I don't think Coffee is the answer and we still need playmakers. Spiller would provide that Wow! factor to our offense and give the defense soemone to fear with his gamebreaking ability.
I still rank Guard/Tackle on offense and Pass rusher/Safety on defense a higher priority.
EDIT- Not to mention we might even need a QB.

Nice to see how much everyone would love to see Spiller get drafted by the 9'ers. As great as he looks on the net or tv, it does no justice for live. As fast as he's been all year...he's been playing with turf toe since the beginning of the season, so just think how fast he could be running if he was healthy. 28 mph on one bad foot. (leaving everyone in his dust...in one case, breaking 4 tackles with only one shoe and outrunning everyone 75yards with one shoe).
Wanna hear something funny...I think Clemson's guard, Thomas Austin is rated as the top Center by Mel Kiper. The 49'er scouts gonna be spending time at Clemson this year?
Last time I really thought about Clemson having ties to the 49'ers was Dwight Clark. But, no one knows that name. lol

Spiller passed, caught, and ran for TDs today. First player in Clemson history to score a TD three different ways in one game.

Spiller could line up at RB or WR (kid has absolute velvet hands), and he's the best return man in the college game. I shudder to think what he could actually do with a competent offensive line in front of him.
I'm not saying we should draft him ahead of another need. I do think the kid will make someone very, very happy, and it wouldn't hurt me if it was the Niners.
He doesn't even need but one shoe:
I want to know who that #6 was running ahead of him blocking....he's faster than spiller and was distracted by a guy hitting him

I hope we address an o-line position in free agency because I really want Spiller

Ford. Hes fast, better athlete, not quite as complete a player.

That's Jacoby Ford, another guy I hope we can acquire. Right now, he projected in the 2nd-3rd range. It'll all depend on how well he impresses in WR drills after the season. He would be a great compliment to our passing game. Plus, he'd solve our returner issues.

I wouldn't say Jacoby is a better athlete than Spiller, but he's definitely a step faster. Ford is referred to by ESPN as the fastest man in college football this season. Dude is a world class sprinter.
Jacoby by himself would be a very nice pick-up, as he'd be a great deep threat as a receiver as well as a legit homerun return guy.

Man, so true! This guy would bring that speed element that this team needs. Does everyone remember what Chris Johnson did to our rush defense with just his speed? We have this no where on offense or return game & he would take care of both.

We need to draft him with our second 1st round pick and draft our OG, OLB and QB of the future later.

f**k that if were not totally sold on the lineman thats there we gotta take spiller 1st then the olineman. teams are seeing what chris johnson is doing and when spiller runs his 40 he most likely will not be there. i did not think johnson was gonna be a 1st rd pick coming from ecu but the fastest 40 will catapult you to a 1st rder. omg just imagine an offense of gore, vd, crabtree, spiller, morgan and hill
