Nearly three years after the Buffalo Bills added running back Marshawn Lynch in the first round of the NFL draft, the Bills could be considering a return visit to the position in 2010.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Bills have lined up a visit with Clemson running back C.J. Spiller for next week.

We're also told that Spiller will participate in the Clemson Pro Day workout, running position drills and cone drills. It's presently unknown whether he'll rest on his 40-yard dash from the Scouting Combine, which generated an official time of 4.37 seconds, slower than both the unofficial number and the times measured by multiple scouts in attendance.

Though some regard the running back position as fungible, with few tailbacks sufficiently special to merit a high draft pick, Spiller could be regarded as an exception. There's already talk that the 49ers could try to move into the top ten in order to get him.
Then again, the last thing that anyone will ever admit to at this time of the year is the truth.

Trading up into the top 10 for Spiller. Please say it ain't so
As much as I love spiller there is only 2 players I'm willing to trade up for, Russell okung and Eric berry.

makes sense with the Leon Washington talk, that the niners want a RB that can return kicks

If niners sign washington, then kiss spiller good-bye! IMO, it's a mistake if they take the risk on getting a player that broke his leg last season. Heard it was pretty nasty

I'm not convinced that Spiller is another CJ...in fact, I rather doubt it. I think he's a GOOD back in a horrible HB draft.

Spiller was a 1st round prospect if he came out last year. Most likely he would of been the first RB taken last year as well.

last year was also bad and i dont even think he would be picked ahead of moreno who is much more of a complete back even beanie wells was better if he wasnt injured all the time
The Tigers’ average starting field position last season was their own 37-yard line compared to their opponents’ 24.

Spiller was a unanimous first-team All-American last year when he gained an ACC record 2,680 all-purpose yards, including 1,212 rushing and 503 receiving. He became the first player in league history with at least 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in the same season. He added four kickoff returns for touchdowns and a punt return for a score in the return game, and was the only Division I player to score a touchdown in every game last year. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the Atlantic Coast Conference, the first Tiger to win that award in 22 years.

Well.. considering his first name IS CJ, maybe he really is another CJ!
Takeo Spikes wants Spiller...

If you were in charge of the two first rounds picks of this year’s draft, what would be your strategy for the 49ers?

Spikes: I would say offensive line and I would go for a two-for-one special — someone who is a return specialist who can also play running back.

LOL was about to post that too. dont piss off takeo mccoughlan
Why all the Man-Crushes on CJ Spiller?

We have trouble in the punt return game (NOT KR), and Spiller isn't a very good punt returner. Compare him to Dez Bryant:

Dez averaged 17.25 yards per punt return in his career, 3 TDs in 25 attempts

CJ Spiller averaged a paltry 6.5 yards per punt return for 1 TD; he averaged 27.72 yards per KR for 7 TDs (a better KR than PR)

So, why the hype for Spiller??? He will not fix our problems at punt returner in any way, shape, or form.
CJ is cuter.

Plus, we could have the Nightmare on Elm Street Backfield: Gore-Spiller!

That's gangsta, son.
He's sexy
Because people saw videos of him on Youtube.
