Thursday Night Prospect Watch: #4 Mississippi vs. South Carolina

#4 Mississippi vs. South Carolina, 7:30 EST, ESPN

Quick notes: Hardy, though banged up, should be playing tonight. This game has a lot of nice prospects that I know the 49ers' scouts should be keeping their eyes on.

Mississippi:
DE Greg Hardy, 6-4 265 4.58
QB Jevan Snead, 6-3 215 4.68 * JR
OG John Jerry, 6-5 350 5.54
RB Dexter McCluster, 5-7 168 4.46
WR Shay Hodge, 6-0 207 4.59

South Carolina:
DE/OLB Eric Norwood, 6-0 252 4.59
SS Darrian Stewart, 5-11 216 4.60
TE Wesley Saunders, 6-5 280 4.80 * JR
OT Jarriel King, 6-5 309 5.12 * JR
What does norwood normally line up as? DE or OLB and when do people see him being drafted?

6'5" 350 , he's 20 pounds heavier than Baas.

his 40 is 5.5, that is slowwwww
This is the first time I have really got to Snead play, and so far I don't see why anybody would call him the best QB prospect in the upcoming draft.

Again this is bases on 1 1/2 quarters of play, I hope to see why everybody is so hight on him...
Telling it like it is, Snead has been indecisive, inaccurate, and has made bad decisions.

Simply put, Snead has been terrible tonight.

As bad as Snead has been in this game, his pass protection has been even worse...

I don't think Snead is a horrible QB, but I also don't believe he's anywhere near as special as many make him out to be.

One thing is for sure, DE/OLB Eric Norwood is continuing to play very well, picking up from last season. He's lost weight and looks faster and quicker. He's been all over Snead today.
