We're not trading Gore Rabbit. Gore and Best would be an amazing combo. Glen Coffee can be the third running back.
Use the other first rounder on a pass rusher or Eric Berry and we're set.

We will NOT draft Best if we don't unload one of our HB's, you can quote me on that
(this based on the theory that Best 1) declares, 2) goes in the 1st round, 3) goes in the top 10)

It just doesn't make sense to me. Why make a trade and make the core weaker. And I don't have enough knowledge of other backs to see him as a top 10 pick this year, it all depends. I guess I don't see the logic in it since Gore will be entering his 6th season next year and sorry t say may be not too far away from a decline.

And why not?
The Titans drafted Chris Johnson to compliment Lendale White. The Niners almost drafted Deangelo in 2006 after we knew Frank Gore was legit. The Cowboys drafted Felix Jones despite Marion Barber. There are million examples.
If Singeltary wants to run the ball 60% of the time, we need two elite backs. Coffee is a nice backup running back, but he's starting to get overrated by Niner fans.

Agreed
We simply just have bigger needs to address in the 1st round: QB, FS/SS, maybe even a RT

Hill we lead us to the playoffs this year and Nate Davis is in the wings. We don't need to take a QB in the first round.
McCoy/Bradford/Tebow/Snead....they all have question marks. There is no elite QB prospect in this draft.

Precisely. Next year is definitely not the year to take a first round QB.

Gore, Coffee and Best is a crowded backfield.
While I agree that Best would compliment Gore better, I think we have bigger areas to address.
The 2010 draft class is already being widely recognized for it's depth and talent at the d-line position which is an area that would serve us much better.

That's a good problem to have. Look at the Titans. Ringer is their third string RB.

If he stays in college and wants to graduate, thats fine. BUT... if he enters the draft, we must get !
