After the Raiders took DHB and Jacksonville passed on Crabs, were any of you worried the niners would not take Crabtree. I must admit I still thought McClueless was going to take Oher. Could you just imagine the backlash he would have received if we would have passed up Crabs for Oher.

I thought we would take Orakpo. I know that Crab was the better player but the whole "we will be a power running team thing" kept running through my head. I was at 50/50 on who would be chosen but I'm happy.

I remember thinking just before the pick was announced....."If McC trades out of this pick with Crabtree and Oher still on the board, I am going to be really f#@king pissed!"
But it all turned out well enough.

A little
But it was a no brainer not to pick him.
The only WR in NCAA history to win the Fred Biletnikoff twice , I believe ?

I was worried about Orakpo's durability.....therefore Crabtree or Oher was (in my opinion) the only options.

I was a little worried but I liked some of the other players too like Orakpo, Oher. I just thought Crab was the best player in the draft, and I really wanted us to pick him. Glad Scotty made the right choice.

I was not worried one bit, when Goodell announced Jacksonville's pick of Monroe, I KNEW he was ours...

If we passed on Crabtree then we would have been laughed at just like the Raiders.

Oh, I love reliving it! ...after the stunning pick at 7, I said to my girl, "we may get MC".
And then the thoughts presumed. Cuz Jacksonville signed Holt, I knew with Monroe on the board, they were probably going to pass on MC. As soon as they did, I knew he was ours, I promise. (I knew Raji was next, that they couldnt pass on that anchor.) I really didnt even think about the possibilty of trading down. I probably wouldve fainted if we did, cuz I was already hysterical with excitement

After the Jags picked Monroe I was stoked. I just knew we would get either Crabtree or Raji. Then the Pack took Raji and my heart was racing. I thought there was no way they could pass on him. When I saw him on the phone I was stoked.

Same thoughts here...I thought they would panic that 3 OTs were taken and would take Oher with Crabtree still on board.

One other player. I think Clavin Johnson
